It is. I was going to add that comment myself. It's a great game unless you're playing against Adriano, who was a cheat code.

Unfortunately for me PES6 was the first one I got on XBox 360 and that version was completely shit.

The PS2 equivalent was amazing. But for some reason they completely **** the 360 version

Yeah they failed to make the generation jump for some reason, it was absolute gash on PS3 too.

PES was good again on PS4, probably better gameplay wise than FIFA but the damage to the brand was done by then.

It's really **** sad, but PES4 was the first football game I really 'got', and to this day I can recall a goal I scored on it with a feeling I have to imagine is close to pride.

Counter attack into space, Angel picks up the ball on the left wing about 30 yards out, cuts it back across the pitch to Vassell who is breaking through the centre, takes a shot first time perfectly in his stride and the ball rifles at ridiculous pace into the bottom left corner.

You're damn right I saved the replay.

On PES4 I found a system with England that was insanely good.

It was basically a 4-3-3 with the forward 3 being a central striker (Rooney) and two very wide attackers, Beckham and Owen.

It wouldn't have worked in real life, but the raking through balls to Owen on one wing or the quick pass out toe Beckham to whip a low ball in to Rooney who would receive the ball ahead of the defenders was absolutely unstoppable.

I still remember coming back from uni and going to a mate's house. There were a few of us there and one particularly annoying chap challenged me to a game. Bear in mind I wasn't that good at it, but I played that England team.... and he scored after 30 seconds without me touching the ball and acted like he'd just bedded Kelly Brook.

I won 7-1. I don't think he had another shot

I feel like I just drift through life, nothing particularly good ever happens, nothing ever works out like I hoped, it's just one long, lonely passing of time, however, being back on VT has actually cheered me up a little.

I thought razzing around in a Mustang would cheer you up?

Newsreader on Chanel 5 tonight was talking about 5 planets being aligned in the night sky tonight and clearly got the giggles when she saw “Uranus” on the auto cue

It’s the little things that amuse

Haha, I've had it off the road for just over a year now. Last winter I thought I'd finally do the bit of welding that it needed, which required me to take the windscreen out so I thought "I may as well take the back window out and replace the headliner and window seals that need doing, and discovered a load of rot around the back window. So I sorted all of that out and thought "Well... I may as well have a look at this dodgy looking patch on the 'trunk filler' panel" and discovered a previous owner had riveted a piece of paint can over a hole and gave it a thick skim of filler to hide it, on both ends of the panel, so I chopped those out and repaired it all and by that point I just decided to root out all the rod and repaire the whole lot. In that time I had to get panels from the US that got deplayed in shipping for 5 months, then when I got them discovered that they'd sent me one of the wrong panels, so I got a replacement that took another 2-3 months... But I'm back on track now. Still confident it will be back on the road for the summer.

I'm fairly convinced that I've never watched anything on Channel 5

Doesn't that mean you don't need a TV licence?

Haha, 100% genuine I don’t think I ever watched it but recall people talking about it.

I had proper stuff on a selection of grainy overused VHS tapes.

Still not a patch on the early days of Channel 4 though. That was the pinnacle. ;)

WWF Raw and then flick between Channel 5 and Birmingham Live (Channel 16 on cable). That was how I spent many a Friday night
