dudevillaisnice
Ciaran Clark, Aston Villa's London-born central defender, has been approached to play for the Republic of Ireland. Clark, 20, who has captained the England under-20 team, qualifies to play for the Republic through his grandmother. Despite already playing for England at youth level, FIFA rules still allow him to switch allegiance and play for the Republic. He is currently considering the offer from the Football Association of Ireland. http://tinyurl.com/336bem6

PauloBarnesi
Harrow is where he was born. Can be very posh (i.e. the school where Elleray talks). Can be very normal and suburban in parts.

beasley14
Big decision for him. He'd be close to the team already if he chose to play for them though.
AVFC-Prideofbrum
I just realised we could do a caption contest with the image below Sidwell "Ciaran, go there....." Clark mutters to himself "I'm sure we are a player short, where's Steve" Sidwell "Ciaran, I'm here, I've been here all game!!" Ciaran "where the feck is he, maybe it is true, maybe he is invisible, I hate gingers anyway" Collins (out of shot..) "WHAT?"

Zatman
Would be a good move for Villa if he played for Ireland as he would get regular games against different type of opposition.
beasley14
Was think that Zatman. He may well play for England one day but he will efinatly play for Ireland. Villa would gain more from that.

CrackpotForeigner
I heard he's a Man Utd fan, or used to be. Hopefully he's now given this away, realising it makes him a cu nt.
theunderstudy
He's a future England captain, surely? I'm half Scot half English with the lineage to play for Ireland, but that lad is 3/4 English with a paddy grandma. Btw Costa del Sol (Baker) is from Dines Green in Worcester. chrissmith921
He qualifies for Ireland on the basis of being English but never likely to get a game for England, pretty much like the rest of them.

El-Reacho
If Ireland want to bring these guys on board we really need to start quailifying for some tournaments. Would be delighted if he switched allegiance, as there'll be a huge void in the Irish defence when Dunne's gone. Not to mention Keane and Given.....
