TheSufferingVilla
All the talk tomorrow will be about Albrighton but does anyone remember a centre back with the confidence of Clark at the ripe old age of 20???? The lad was/is/will be superb.
Hanky
Really good game against an 'England centre forward'. I think he is streets ahead of Davies and has improved since last season where he looked good as well.
Zatman
He looked composed and good today. of course it helps playing with Dunne who in the past has made other decent young players look good like Richards and St.Ledger
Brumerican
Looked like he'd been playing there for years.
rc_villa1972
You will find dunne looked more at ease this match because he had Clarke, young and Warhol playing alongside him. The good news is that a don't see his performance making Davies feel any better about the situation. Lol. Collins and cuellar need to be looking over their shoulder very closely. Clark wed excellent today against a poor performing west ham. It's a nice introduction for the.more difficult teams.
Davies4England
Very composed. Was impressed a lot with his performance, so much maturity. Got bullied a bit by Cole but that was expected. Other then that made some excellent blocks and interceptions. I hope the lad gets more games this season, from early viewing I prefer him over the young Cahill we had. MCU
Came and did his job AGAIN and for that, hats off.
AVFC-Prideofbrum
Liked him whenever I've seen, admittedly not seen him today but liked him anyway. Comfortable on the ball as well as obvious being a very good defender, good reader of the game.

billy_loes
Should keep his place and cement the Dunne - Clark partneship.

danofashby
Clark was good today, just because he was so composed and calm. Last time i saw a young centre back play like that was when Barry broke into the team when we played
Rino8 Posted August 14, 2010 Visiting Supporter Share Posted August 14, 2010 Was Davies injured?Yeah. Quality from Clark, looked confident to come out of the defence with the ball too.
steve-67
Was Davies injured? Good question. If he isn't, it means he's off as Villa have either accepted a bid for him or they don't want to cough up the extra money for the new contract he'll be entitled to if he plays another game. barry'sboots
Quality display. Future Villa captain and England CH. Haven't seen a 20 yo CB play with that maturity ever.
villa4europe
makes a mockery of davies' "fair" outburst IMO, clark is streets ahead of him comfortable on the ball, good in the air, good at marking, looked like he had a good understanding with the other 3 defenders and was extremely brave i had him neck and neck with super mark for MOTM
TrentVilla Posted August 14, 2010 Moderator Share Posted August 14, 2010 Not much to do but what he had to do he did well, promising very very promising. I just hope what happened with Cahill doesn't happen with Clark.
