He sounds like a 13 year old girl whose first boyfriend dumped her a week after he said he loved her

Surprised he didn't make reference to his shit hair and stupid shin pads

To you it sounds like that and I think you’re wrong.  It’s more after 20 years together and marriage commitment 10 months ago and commenting about building a life together the husband walks out to a younger, richer woman and starts saying his life is better and indirectly dissing his former wife and everybody saying it’s great then somebody comes along and says this isn’t right.

Terrible article. Spinning opinion as fact, the type of clickbait article that site specialises in.

Read the actual interview and make up you own mind.

It starts as saying it’s an Opinion piece.  It literally says

Quote

OPINION

I think folks are investing too much time and energy in this now but at some point, even they’ll ‘get over it’.

It’s just a football player moving to another club, it’s happened before it’ll happen again. The modern day obsession with individual players doesn’t help of course.

How some people act on here about Grealish makes me cringe to the high hills. All this hyperbole  and para-social behaviours got me like…

So don’t read it! You don’t have to come on this thread.

One thing I think we can all agree on (or most of us at least ;) ) is that footballers are basically only interested in themselves first and foremost. Loyalty barely exists anymore. Thats fine, it is what it is. I don't think we'll see a Le Tissier or Bull again.

ultimately, however you feel about grealish, this is the saddest thing of all.

Unless Mark Noble makes it his last playing year

The opening sentence is There was a real smugness and arrogance to Jack Grealish that was quite distasteful as he sat in a sports hall at St George's Park as he spoke to ITV's Gabriel Clarke ahead of England's 4-0 win in Hungary

That's pure opinion that like you say is overly emotional

Its really poor

It's an opinion piece so what else would you expect?! It is Ashley's take on the Grealish interview and nothing more.

My personal thought is that he is correct with some of the assessment. I've said it before, but Grealish will probably forget he even played for Villa in 12 months time. Its all about him getting the accolades from others and fuelling narcissistic desires to be the most popular and talked about footballer on the planet.

He’s bang on from all I’ve seen over the last two years he’s nailed on in Jack’s thought process and his mindset and arrogance, he’s right there is contempt for Villa, he thinks he’s bigger than us.
the quote about the JG10 the brand is bang on, I know this to be true I could tell you who does what and planned social media campaigns etc.

Why don't you?

He's not at Villa now, so no worries about unsettling his season.

Here is one of my thoughts.

Substitute Jack Grealish with Tyrone Mings, do you think if this was Mings move, it would have been handled the same?

Bare in mind, Tyrone Mings isn't even " Villa through and through ", but you could almost guarantee he would exercise more common sense and courtesy.

Well, unless you're Bournemouth that is 👀

Or just an honest assessment of the situation! You don’t agree with it so you think it’s embarrassing/cringe whereas many of us feel it’s spot on.  Nothing to do disenchanted elements of the fan base just an great honest article about the situation and not some cold fluff piece.  Great article!  Anything but cringe!

I don't know if you're intending to copy the style and syntax of Trump's tweets, but it's not a bad effort if you are.
