Where almost the whole town just stood about happily singing hymns to each other whilst the sun came up with them bursting into flames and dying. Phil Silvers Posted October 25, 2021 Share Posted October 25, 2021 (edited) Squid game might be the gateway into so many foreign gems for those that hate subtitles, I've recommended so much stuff over the years to friends and family and all I ever got was, no chance, don't do subtitles. A family member has now recommended squid game to me with instructions to just turn the sound off all together and read the subtitles, cool I said, try the the bridge, TGWTDT etc, ok will do they said. Amazing, social media frenzy may convert millions and I'm sort of jealous at some of the stuff they are going to discover, funny old world. Edit. Ps, got one mate in his early 30s who ha ls never seen or will ever see a black and white film, idiot. I thought it would it be aimed at teens and while it probably is, there's enough depth and humour to keep me not only watching but really enjoying. Binged season 1 over the weekend and started season 2 last night. It's quite rare for a show like that to have so many likeable characters.
