The_Rev
Pep has either had his head blown off with a shotgun, or that is a lot of beer.
NoelVilla
Paderborn just promoted to Bundesliga. Was there last summer watching Villa. Played some good stuff but they have to improved much during the season.
Chap of Steel
Just about to watch Furth v Hamburg on ESPN. Should be interesting, especially as they're often described as the German Villa!
VillaChris
Hamburg survive on away goals. Feurth just lacked composure infront of goal in both games, thought they played well in other areas. What's the feeling on relegation play offs in Germany? I'm surprised they do it as to me 3 up 3 down is better particularly as Hamburg finished up losing their last 5 Bundesliga games and yet got a reprieve. Rovers13
I think it's because they only have 18 teams. So relegating 3 is a pretty high percentage.

My only criticism is that away goals is completely unfair. Penalties isn't completely "fair" but at least you are directly beating your opponent in a certain part of the game. Away goals, you aren't winning, or losing, it's ridiculous.
CarewsEyebrowDesigner
So Lahm retires from international football. I guess it doesn't get better than lifting the WC trophy. Along with Cole, easily the best full back of the last decade. Good luck replacing him!
The_Rev
I predict he will un retire sometime before Euro 2018.

VillaChris
What about Schmezler at Dortmund? O.k he's no Lahm but people were going on about how amazing he was not so long ago yet he's never really seemed to establish himself even in the German squad? I remember reading that Low had basically said that he wasn't good enough to be first choice for Germany, hence taking a dozen centre halves to play there instead of using him in the World Cup squad. sexbelowsound
Just finished watching the German Supercup. Really good game actually but was interesting to see just how dire Bayern can be at times.
