I'm not discrediting Spence, nobody has come close to beating him but i don't see this absolute elite level ability in his boxing. I think the reason he is so good is he does everything very good. No obvious holes in his game. When he has to defend, he's not winging it, he knows what to do and quickly turns offensive again. It's the only thing that makes me lean toward Crawford. He is so sneaky at letting you close distance, get comfortable, shift his feet back out of the other guys punching range and land with a punch. Seen him hurt and wobble fighters with a single shot on the back foot. Spence doesn't give you angles. He's straight lines. Brings his hands back up though very quick and great punch output. Spence is not a spectacular boxer in the things he does, but he his relentless in his offence and very, very effective . Him and Crawford has to happen and I really can't wait for that one. Think he was in training basically the whole year though. Elite fighters, in big fights, tend to only fight twice a year anyway. So May / December probably what he'll look at. Jamie George, England rugby hooker so a big bloke, went into the ring with Billy Joe Saunders (someone probably close to half his weight) to try and toughen up for rugby.
