The_Rev
He's got nothing to gain by fighting the likes of Hughie Fury. Tony Bellew is a 34 year old world champion. He doesn't need to be in the ring with prospects who are twice his size and half his age. He's won titles, he's been in movies. He's looking for money at this point of his career so he wants a big name. I just don't think he's got the leverage for anything other than defending at Cruiserweight or fighting Haye again.

villa4europe
I think in reality there wasn't a "winner" from that hayes finished bellew I could go on dragons den and offering them a £5 note for a tenner and give a better sales pitch than that, Hearn celebrating at the end...good luck to you, even with the curiosity thrown in I wouldn't pay £15 to watch that useless word removed fight a 1 eyed 3 legged donkey
West
I see Dillian Whyte is calling out Bellew on twitter for an eliminator to face Wilder.

I guess he'd make a decent wedge from that, probably more than going back to Cruiserweight and getting utterly deconstructed by someone like Usyk. Brumerican
Heavyweight boxing is a trainwreck compared to past decades . Only Louis Razor Robinson can save it IMO

villa4europe
I watched it round a mates from football, 4 lads and his missus, we were round there for the football and all of the undercard, a fair bit of drink inspired expertise going on, she called bellew round

Demitri_C
Have to say haye is a lot slower than what he use to be. Guy thinks he could beat Joshua . Joshua would knock him out in couple rounds. bellew gets no credit for me beating a one legged boxer for half the fight have to say although not haye fan he showed a hell of a lot of heart and I respect him for that

leemond2008
I can't be arsed with all of this, they didn't even address the injury once in the post fight interview. Haye was injured before he stepped foot in the ring, he couldn't say anything though because it would have been the end of his career, Klit - little toe Fury - pulled out with a mysterious cut and then pulled out due to a mysterious shoulder injury Pre fight - flies out to Munich to see a specialist, Bellew warns him that he can't pull out of the fight because everyone would know he is a fraud, Bellew then says that if he wins Haye will blame it on an injury Haye knew that he had been called out and even though it was a genuine (this time) injury he had made his bed with prior antics. Haye didn't show heart, he realized that he couldn't pull out for fear of being derided, he also realized that the one and only money shot he had left was to try and make a fight of it to get a rematch because no one else would touch him with a barge pole In fact lets recap on the whole night 1st fight - 2 nobodies right at the start, that's alright there was no one in the arena 2nd fight - one bloke who although he seems likable outside of the ring doesn't have a lot going for him inside the ring other than a concrete head 3rd fight - old pro hung out to dry against an up and coming fighter 4th fight - old pro hung out to dry against an up and coming fighter Sky at this point realize they have ****** up the card and call George Groves and Luke Campbell out of their seats to give a rather strange interview in the ring 5th fight - 2 birds, the star who has about 3 pro fights Main event - a fat cruiserweight struggles to knock out an aging crippled heavyweight Cheers Eddie but don't try and sell this as a worthy PPV, don't piss in my pocket and tell me its raining

When you have bellew showing empathy and respect for haye and then you have a idiot loudmouth jumping all over you shows the mn has no class. Give the guy a hug. Even bellew got annoyed with him and pushed him off

You tend to find that athletes who are extremely explosive and rely mostly on fast twitch muscle fibers are more injury prone and break down easier and thus are past their sell by date earlier than those who aren't as explosive. Haye is thoroughly in that camp. His athletic skills were totally diminished and he never had the boxing skills to compensate for it.
leemond2008
He's just an old man and can't keep up with it anymore, right from the first bell he looked terrible, yeah he was working his way into the fight by the 4th/5th round and without the injury he probably would have got the KO but he needed to look devastating in order to walk out with any credibility, that just wasn't the case, he looked shot in comparison to his old self. I just hate the way they went on in the interviews afterwards, Haye knew he had no where to go so he started bleating on about how Bellew was the better fighter on the night, it was an embarrassment to both of them, Sky themselves want to be ashamed of them selves for pretty much fabricating an entire 11 rounds and avoiding the one thing that played a major part in the outcome of the fight. Part of me thinks that they had been made aware of the injury and had agreed that if it affected the outcome of the fight then they would mention it as little as possible, Haye would give their man all the credit and they can potentially set up a rematch. ridiculous, Haye didn't remain in the fight for as long as he did because of a fighters pride, he stayed there for as long as he did because he could see the pound signs dwindling away before his eyes at an alarming rate and realized that a rematch was the only option for his career. and as for Bellew moving up to heavyweight.....yeah alright the less said about that the better, he wants one more fight, he may as well take his rematch with Haye on Dave because there isn't much else for him to do without getting pretty badly hurt
