striker Posted April 11 Visiting Supporter Share Posted April 11 (edited) Pretty even first half with both teams looking dangerous on the break. If Watkins first touch had been better then he could have had a hat trick in the first half. Conversely Lile could have scored a few too so all to play for. The_Rev
Sitting behind the bench and the story of the night has been a full on 30 minute argument between Unai and Ollie. I have no idea what it was about but Unai was going nuts. Definitely gonna be having words at half time. 1
MWARLEY2
Martinez is our most important player alongside Watkins. That Lucy on the co commentary had it right. If anyone gets through Emi will save it anyway. He is such a huge presence . The Schmeichel of the 2020s
sheepyvillian
We could have scored more, stop the "Whinging" and get a grip.
Django_Zooms
Unexpected formation of 4132 with Tielemans holding & McGinn up with Ollie. Emery must have his reasons. Probable changes to come, based on the score.
DJBOB
Nothing we can do about it, but Konsa's not got the pace to be RB. Either that or he's maybe 75% fitness because he's getting turned left and right.

jimmygreaves
Teilemans needs to be hooked. He's the primary reason the defence has been exposed. It was the same at the weekend. Bring on Diaby and move Mcginn back to play where Teilemans is trying to play
PaulC
Think the problem is midfield more than defence. Just too easy to plsy through leaving the bsckline exposed.
ozvilla28
The back four no matter who we put in there shambolic clumsy and can't do the basics never understand why always can see a goal coming.
useless
We're winning but have been poor in the final third, nearly every attack our final ball has been letting us down, with better decision making we could have had another two or three goals. They look vulnerable defensively, but we're not getting a hold of the ball enough to take advantage of that
andym
Bailey has been atrocious Done nothing but run into or pass straight to Lille players Then giving zero help to Konsa defensively 2

avfc1982am
We've looked terrible at the back, sloppy in midfield and lucky both players at each end of the pitch are on their game. For a side that looked great along the backline earlier in the season we are all over the shop. The defence is staggered with Carlos continually drifting into midfield. The midfield need to get their passing together, especially Teilemanns. McGinn needs to stop running about like a bull in a china shop. Pretty poor half after the goal. If we don't shape up I can't se us holding onto the lead. Emi can only do so much on his own.
WooJung
Either swap positions with McGinn and tielemans or bring Tim on. We are asking for trouble. Loaning out Dendoncker was a mistake, we save peanuts on his wages and are left extremely short in midfield. He's not great, but I have seen nothing from Tim so far to suggest he's any better

ozvilla28
So why not play Tim there as the Defence midfielder if where getting exposed.
StefanAVFC
Rogers from the sublime to the ridiculous. Carlos well off it. Low intensity I guess to save energy but we look very vulnerable in transition
