Popular Post thejoker
We need to be realistic here. Our 2 first choice left sided midfielders (Ramsey and Buendia) are both injured. Ramsey should be back in about a month. We’re not spunking £30m+ on someone that will most likely be for cover. A loan with an option to buy is as near risk free as we’re going to find.
VillaJay
1 in 5 in the pl from left wing, hard working and quick. Add Zaniolo in too and this would be a good loan deal.
The_Steve
A loan would make sense nothing more. Not good enough to start.
andym
We need a body in to replace Buendia. However, that's not going to be a big name, big money signing unless we can shift someone like bailey or coutinho. We havent got the wiggle room wages wise. He's not great, but he had more goals and assists than Buendia and Bailey last season, and he'll put in 10x the shift Bailey will.
tomav84 Posted August 13, 2023 VT Supporter Share Posted August 13, 2023 i hope he's someone that's been on the list for a while and not a panic signing. but if he's good enough for monchi and emery then he's good enough for me
ferguson1
There was talk of Harrison leaving for £20m plus last season. Leicester I think? Sounds like a no brainer this one to me. Cheap loan, fills a homegrown gap and currently fills a gaping hole on our left side. Can probably step in and cover LB during a game or emergency as well. It’s a decent pick up. HalfTimePost
I think it's sensible. Though wonder if we wouldn't be better served just keeping and trusting AJ in that role

We needed an attacking player here anyway even if those two players were fit, Buendia is out for the whole season, Harrison is just scraping the bottom of the barrel. The fact Everton want him tells us everything we need to know. Honestly if we make this signing after losing 5-1 yesterday I am really starting to question our decision making. I can see us doing a Leicester from last season and finishing 18th.

Pinebro
Would be about as exciting as when we signed Brett Holman. Just.

StanBalaban
Maybe underwhelming, but an experienced and reliable Premier League player that won't cost the earth, in an area that we are short of cover.
VillaJay
A player Newcastle were very interested in too, before they got Gordon. On loan, this would be a clever pickup, hopefully Zaniolo too, who can play further forward.
Made In Aston
This is BS and I would be shocked if we were after Harrison. It's a rerun of the Diaby transfer fiasco and we are the equivalent of the Saudi club in that scenario.

Popular Post Delphinho123
I actually don’t mind this signing at all. Ramsey is our first choice left sided midfielder and then you have Buendia who flutters between the left and as a no. 10. Both are injured - one of them very seriously. Harrison is an average player. No doubt. He’s not going to win us the league. BUT. As a back up to Ramsey and an alternative to a very poor Bailey, he’s fine for the right price. I have no issues with this signing. FWIW, he has been very good at VP on the couple of occasions I’ve seen him. Not that I’m expecting him to be that good all the time, otherwise he’d have moved already. Needs must I’m afraid.
quazzie goat
Happy with Harrison. Need a body there and was very good under Bielsa. Zaniolo and Harrison on loan is shrewd.
