Just dislike the sponsor quite a lot for varying reasons. The whole situation with the badge seems daft though, to make such a song and dance about changing it only for this to happen. I can buy people finding it a bit boring, too safe, not their favourite out of the options given... whatever. But I do not believe for one second that anyone, I do mean literally anyone, believes it isn't at least a worthwhile improvement on the old one.
