Villa’s Race for Europe 22/23

I can see us getting 6th or 7th.

Brighton have injuries, more tough matches and fatigue so they could end up in 8th..

Spurs could potentially have a small run of form to sustain their place for European football.

Liverpool will get 5th and it’s between ourselves and Spurs for 6th..

Our advantage is that we have players coming back from injury in the next 2 weeks..

The two home games against Spurs and Brighton are going to be huge!

Who?

They won’t be match fit and up to speed straight away so might not be properly ready until the end of the season.

Brighton faltered one week but still have 3 games in hand.

Liverpool dropping points would've been great.

We really need Kamara, Cash and Bailey back for the run in.

If we get something against United and Wolves we're suddenly in a situation where every win could mean we finish above the opposition. Every loss is probably a team we finish below

Our advantage is Unai Emery

We just got to take care if our own games. I can't see us finishing above Liverpool but it's in our hands to finish 6th

If we win the next 5 games and Brighton lose 2 of their 8 games we are guaranteed 5th 🤞

If some are back for Wolves in 10 days they'll still have three weeks to get 100% for Brighton game.

Have a funny feeling Spurs will beat Utd, hope I'm wrong...

Man. United got to watch it, Liverpool only six points off them now with a better GD and a much easier run in.

I think it will be low scoring draw. Man. United still got likes of Casemiro and Eriksen in midfield and Rashford will get plenty of joy against Porro so I'd be very surprised if they don't score at least once with the state Spurs are in.

We also need Liverpool to beat Spurs now as West Ham away was arguably their hardest game left.

We aren't finishing above them, those VAR decisions tonight said it all.

That Forest result is a massive bonus for us potentially.  got three games in hand but they have to win two to get back ahead of us and they have some tricky fixtures coming up. Of course for balance, we have to appreciate that on paper our fixtures are also difficult.

So many variables at the moment in terms of the other teams, have Liverpool rediscovered themselves, will Spurs’ implosion continue, will Brighton find form again with their multiple games in hand? The only thing we can control is our performances and hopefully with the right amount of luck, the results.

Damn, this season didn’t half get exciting all of a sudden eh

Lucky for us, three of our games are against Spurs, Liverpool and Brighton.

Ha. That's about as good a game in hand as you could possibly wish for.

Southampton are absolutely dreadful and there's a good reason they are fighting for survival.

Southampton isn't actually a game in hand, it's their final home game.

Their games rescheduled are Man. United and Man. City at home and Newcastle away which they've lost from various cup weekends.
