Skysports are utter ball bags yet again. They've done article with review of every team with embedded clickable data parts on attack and defence in middle of article and they have Wolves data duplicated in our spot

The past decade or so has been a difficult watch for us Villans. Whilst the love has never wavered it has,  outwith the occasional individual moment,  felt like a duty to support Villa rather than a source of pleasure.

Despite the position we shouldn't have been in, the promotion charge from the Championship under Deano, Grealish, Mings etc..was the best experience in years after PL disappointment. Felt like we had our club back again

Tricky couple of years back in the PL and we'd be forgiven for thinking the worst again this year as the Gerrard experiment totally failed...

In swaggers Unai Emery and everything changes in an instant.  The atmosphere, the style,  the attitude.. it all improves and keeps improving culminating in a bloody European adventure.

Couldn't give two shits it's the 3rd tier of European football...it's a taste of things to come!!

Crazy that even joining a midtable standard Villa 1/3rd of the way through season with a huge handicap due to underperforming up to that point, Emery still managed to maintain his average career PPG and continue his record of (15 now 16?) consecutive seasons competing in European competition.

He was never going to give that up was he? Should've never been in doubt.

I said it months ago Europe was the target, Unai Emery is elite and Europe was always the target.

It went to the last match as some predicted.

Mad to think that holding out for a few more mins against Liverpool would have seen us finish 6th and get Europa League.

Or would have seen Brighton come into the game with a different mindset/the extra 1% to hold us to a draw. You can’t think like that because as soon as something changes, everything changes.
