Soon as Man United were drawn you just knew it would be us , how many times have we got them recently in both cups, must be well above the law of averages .

Someone worked it out the number of possibilities vs number of times we've played them and it was something crazy like 7000/1. That's obviously gone up now

We're out then. Even if we can overcome the mental block that often makes us roll over for them (which tbf we didn't do in all three games last season), VAR won't let us win. The outcome has already been decided.

I would be interested to know how many thitd rotund draws we have had against them

Pretty sure it is 8 or 9 now in this cup. A banker.

Edit: wrong, this is the 6th time since 2000.

Live tonight on Sky Sports following the conclusion of Tranmere v Newcastle (around 10pm ish) give or take 10 minutes.

We're No 3 in the hat. Man Utd are No 18. That's all you need to know

Ties to be played week commencing 7th November

maybe you could have put on the spoiler tags :P

Everthing seems to be going wrong, we agree a deal for Sarr but it falls through, we beat Bolton but then draw Man Utd away in the next round, we sign Carlos but he's now injured probably out for the season. Feels like we're being haunted by some wicked evil curse. The club desperately needs good news, a few good signings and a win against West Ham will be a good start.

5 consecutive away draws in both domestic cups combined? 2 of which being United at Old Trafford, and one being Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

our last home game was against Liverpool and we had a bunch of kids playing. Crazy alright

Don’t know if that’s correct, but it certainly feels like it.

Edit - it’s not the sixth time we’ve been drawn away, but it is the sixth time since 2002 we’ve played them in the third round of a cup competition.

Would love to know the odds of that.
