League Cup- 3rd Round Draw

It's months away yet hopefully we have figured out how to play Gerrard ball by then with some new players.

We were skanked by VAR in the cup last year so hopefully we right the wrongs.

Representatives for Wellingborough won't give cheap tickets though we know this from last year so would we shift 8K tickets at £30 a pop?

What's worse is that with our big squad players need game time. Cups were going to be the opportunity for that

The game is five days before the mid season break so I don’t think this is really an issue this season

Should have just played some of the youth and backups against Bolton.

A "like" for using the work Skanked as I have not heard that work since school over 25 years ago. :)

Deju vu!

This is the 7th time that we have come up against Newton Heath in the League Cup since 1970 (seasons 1970/71, 1975/76, 1992/93, 1993/94*, 1999/00, 2009/10* & 2022/23).

We've played them 13 times in the FA Cup since 1905 (1905/06, 1907/08, 1910/11, 1919/20, 1947/48, 1956/57*, 1962/63, 1976/77, 2001/02, 2003/04, 2006/07, 2007/08, 2021/22).

* = Finals.

Even their armchair fans, must be getting fed up with drawing us out of the hat now.

Just realised that finishing 7th is the point where you don’t have to play the second round in the league cup. Another reason to aim for 7th instead of 8th then.

Be just our luck if we finished 7th and Manure 8th. That'll fix us not playing them their round.

Man U will probably use the cup to give Ronaldo a run out.

Imagine what he will do against Konsa.

Ask him to carry his Zimmer frame?

Next season im sticking  a bet on us getting utd in a cup competition again.

Its almost virtually impossible to draw the same team at that stage away from home as many times as we do.

We've still got to go there in this seasons FA Cup yet! :D
