He's not terribly tall and has never been strong in the air nor inclined to go to ground, the defensive side of his game used to be more like Ezri's, cut off the angle, get between the player and the ball, shepherd them away or get in a block. I don't rate Carlos at all but we literally have no one to play there. Chambers is an even bigger car crash than Carlos and Kamara is out, Konsa is out, Mings is out, Torres is back on the bench but Emery won't play him.
