For me they're not safe until they hit 50 points, probably 51 with their GD. Bristol, Blackburn, Forest all capable of winning at least two more games this season imo. Burton maybe will be the team that drop into the bottom 3 at the wrong time but they can grind out draws.
VillaChris
BTW it's mad to think just 22 days ago we had 36 points. Just look at Wigan on 34 points and all but relegated. I know there's been plenty of games over the last three weeks but thank goodness we got our act together just in time and can now have a comfortable end to the season and properly prepare for next year.
Demitri_C
Burton blew it big time, I think they are going down with Wigan and Rotherham. but if Zola keeps them up surely he will stay for next season. That's great news for me
TrentVilla Posted March 19, 2017 Moderator Share Posted March 19, 2017 Shame that various teams blew it yesterday, they are safe now I think, lets hope Zola is too.
VillaJ100
Shame really as even if he stays on if he has a poor start say 1 draw and 3 losses at the start of next season they will sack him

They're not safe just yet.

Well a deflected shot off Hogan's arse in the 8th minute of injury time would go down nicely, no?

I remember it well, went to the two home games where even at 6-0 the unwashed sang SOTV. Cabbages.

Promising for next year however! Edited March 27, 2017 by Mammoth10

Genie
We're in a strange situation where we want them to lose, but not by too many otherwise the owners might pull the trigger.

I'm happy with them drawing tomorrow....and then losing on Tuesday....then drawing the game after that and so on. The odd plucky draw like the one against Newcastle will give the impression they're on the right track but the reality is they need wins to get clear like we did. 4 draws and I reckon they'll go down. 49 points won't be enough with their GD.
