A housing project is a lot of additional money but a reliable stream of revenue. But by the time they've built this stadium, Peaky Blinders is going to have been off-air for about a decade, hard to see many people being interested. Maybe Wagner can try and get the financing for a spin-off movie or something.

I hope he remakes Hart to Hart but may be difficult as I think Freeway and Max have both thrown a 7 but I still think Mrs H (she's goygess) is still alive

There is a peaky blinders movie being filmed later this year. I guess it’ll be out some time in 2025 or 2026.

The trillion empty seats stadium, by order of the pasty bellends.

So the rags are thr latest club to think about their future and realise the need to redevelop. Decent location by the looks of it.

Ah well. We will get around to it some day.

That club has never even developed never mind redeveloped. I certainly wont be casting envious eyes at that shower of s***.

We are in the Quarter Finals of a European competition and sat 4th in the Premier League.

What a club fighting relegation to league one are up to is irrelevant in every sense.

Carl Chinn has already said the Peaky Blinders didn't exist and those who resembled those people were absolute scum. Popularising gangsterism....🫤

They did especially since he wrote a book about them😝

🤣 I badly worded that. The likes of Thomas Shelby didn't exist. Billy Kimber was the only fictional brummie character (even he was born in Aston 🤣)

Steve Knight is using blues as a marketing vehicle for his TV/Digital content. Listening to that Wagner bloke - it is entertainment before the sporting side. The guy wants to compete with Disney and Netflix. "Young kids aren't watching football anymore, so we have decided to disband the team." 🤣

The focus of their club is very much on being an entertainment outlet rather than a sporting one. John Eustace wasn't hollywood enough for them, not hip or swanky enough. 🤣

I only know because I saw something in the news the other day that Cillian Murphy had signed up for it (it would be a waste of time without him).

I can think of many phrases to describe Tony Mowbray, "hollywood" or "hip and swankey" wouldn't be in the top 1 million :crylaugh:

🤣 I think it was "shit, we need somebody who can manage these lot for a few games until we hire our next hollywood coach" - it is predictable attention seeking noise.

The fact they only get about 20,000 fans on a really good day should be fun in their super stadium

Be a bit like Coventry's stadium. Plenty of empty blue seats for years to come.

Coventry couldn’t afford the rent so were kicked out.

They had the new stadium built around the time they got relegated. Couldn't really afford it so it got bought by the council? Or was it Isuzu/Ricoh? Then rented to them, to keep them running as a club. Then they couldn't afford it so they got kicked out and had to play at the sty and Northampton. Then London Wasps bought it? Or moved up to Coventry and used the stadium, then they went the same way? It's one big cluster ****. There's a casino, and big shopping park there as well. The theme park from the Dr would have been nothing short of an absolute disaster!!

Fun fact, it was originally going to be called the Jaguar Arena but Jaguar pulled the plug late on as they were in the process of closing the Browns Lane assembly plant in Coventry (where the old XJ and XK were built) and it wasn’t a good look to be making people redundant and also sponsoring a stadium at the same time.

And it just got worse and worse after that!!!
