She's been readying to go to Australia to visit her son and grandkids who she hasn't seen in 2 years. I think a lot will depend on how our figures are looking next week and how the Omicron strain looks in the next few weeks. So many people like us will have cancelled holidays because they cannot isolate for an unknown period of time when they get their PCR test results back. TUI allowed us to move our booking for free (the holiday is still going ahead so I guess it’s quite fair of them), it was only 2 weeks away, the paperwork has a £2,500 right off of amendment fees. Due to the proximity of the departure date I expect they still have to pay the hotel and will struggle to refill the seats on the flight. First it was 18th Nov (which was 5 months), then it was 18th Dec (6 Months) but now its 1st January 2022. I have my booster booked for Monday but it appears to me to be the govt saying, you're double jabbed, enjoy xmas, why else would they randomly extend it?
