“There’s five academy players that will be stepping up [on Sunday]. There will be some senior debuts, which is great. We’ll be assessing a few [ahead of Sunday], it is what it is at this point of the season.”

From training pictures, looks like Megan Shaw, Georgia Mullett, Alice Keitley, Ruby-Rae Tucker, and another who I don't recognize, all training with first team squad ahead of Leicester game.

Over the last 10 games, we actually equal Man United and Arsenal's form : 6 wins, 2 draws and 2 defeats to make 22 points. It's a genuinely incredible achievement given the past few years. The recruitment and squad-building this season has been utterly insane: Daly the obvious example, but Dali has been just as important a signing: she's easily world-class and so important to our attack.

A very familiar name in Marisa Ewers has led the recruitment since the summer (she was already working in the analysis department alongside playing for us). Just this month she's been promoted to General Manager (seemingly the equivalent of Sporting Director), which is entirely deserved. Real excited to see what we do in the summer, especially now we've gotten a very good season under our belts.

Another good result for us as West Ham lose 4-0 to Man Utd, means we have a ten point cushion in the top six having played a game less than West Ham in seventh, if we win tomorrow we can extend that cushion to thirteen points.

Points wise we're actually closer to top three than we are to dropping out of the top six, in fact if we do win tomorrow we will closer to the top of the table in terms of points than dropping out of the top six.

We have to guard against presuming that tomorrow will be easy though, since January after some good signings Leicester have started picking up a few decent results and no longer look the certs for relegation that they once did, thankfully in all the interviews I've seen this week the players and Ward have been stressing that same point.

Anyone going on Sunday?

Yep. First time taking 3yo daughter to VP. Mate is taking 2yo so couldn’t not lol. Will see how that goes…

Do they normally have food on the concourse or just drinks? The match day guide only suggests the latter.

I've not been to VP for a women's game but they serve food at the Bescot and at away grounds so I'd be surprised if they didn't.

Eni Aluko was on soccer AM yesterday.

So what happened to her at Villa then?

Was appointed. Heard nothing. Left.

She left to take up a role in LA, which didn’t work out for whatever reason…

Rachel Corsie and Sarah Mayling both out, Anna Patten and Evie Rabjohn come in, Rabjohn will be making her full debut, still only seventeen, will be interesting to watch her play as meant to be very highly rated, but obviously very inexperienced at first team level.

Other youngsters Alice Keitley, Ruby-Rae-Tucker, Megan Shaw, Georgia Mullet also on the bench, as well as Gregory and Blindkilde.

.Good to see Boye-Hlorkah back as well, the way her last injury was reported made it sound like she was going to be out for much longer.
