So many poor players. Feels like we always try and make it more complicated than it should be as well.

Who was the ball watching moron on the third goal (I think)? Someone let his man just walk off and he scored.

thank **** this was in the cup and not the league.

Still shows we have a long way to go squad-wise

Let's see what the squad looks like end of Jan, if we're in the play off spots and done some good business then hopefully days like this will be few and far between.

Abysmal.

As bad as anything under Bruce. Time to show us what you are made of Dean.

Shocking, really shocking. A hell of a lot of work to do here. Our squad is terrible, only one selection works, one injury and we are below bang average. We are no where near ready to go up, nowhere near.

So much for fortress Villa Park.

So much for Lansbury and Hogan taking their chances. Hopefully they will be gone by the end of the month.

Just wow.

Keeper was utter dog dirt. Spilling every shot no matter how weak, kicking every time to their players or into touch. Shocking debut.

Taylor back to his knocking it backwards days

Elphick looks 2 yards behind play

Adomah lazy disinterested

Wheelan negative

Hogan ineffective

Ohare tried holding onto the ball far too long losing it 90% of the time

Can't be bothered listing just how little effort and application was shown today, just like they couldnt be bothered today after that lazy performance.

Only positive today was Lansbury.

McGinn and El Ghazi are the only other players worth a mention.

Hogan, terrible purchase. His first touch is absolutely awful

Lansbury was very good, only player with mcginn wh9 looked half decent. The rest were absolutely dreadful and should not be anywhere near the first team. The likes of hogan, Hutton, whelan adomah all pathetic

Keep telling myself it's a cup game and is meaningless, but how can you not be concerned after watching that? Disgustingly poor at the back. Swansea walked the ball through us so many times, the third goal was cringeworthy. As someone else mentioned in the match thread it's farcical and it's happening every game.

El Ghazi was dire, Albert better. Sat behind the bench, he didn't close down unless directly told to.

Not sure our defensive woes are going to be rectified by parachuting in a couple of new signings. Unfortunately, I think it runs deeper than that. Three of our back four are very experienced defenders. We should be able to fashion something more solid out of that than what we're witnessing at the moment.
