How can a team go from winning every game to looking like genuine relegation contenders in no time at all?

In the grand scheme of things this game means nothing. I think that was the issue today. They know 2nd has gone and are winding up the year.

Players looked complacent early on, lacked urgency and when they realised it wasn’t going to be a walk in the park started to get desperate, misplace passes and lose control of the ball.

The problem is it is Bruce’s responsibility to make sure that doesn’t happen. 50:50 blame from me, and an all round terrible few weeks at the office.

Shining light is we’ve had these abysmal runs before under Bruce, picked our selves up and come out stronger. Hopefully that comes in time for the playoffs.

**** dire. Unacceptable and totally devoid of ideas,m and craft. Looked clueless. Have absolutely no idea how a team who dominated against Wolves could turn so bad. Bruce’s poor selection against QPR has meant we have blown any faint hope of automatic promotion. Worse thing is teams in the playoffs wouldn’t see anything to be fearful of through our last three games.

I struggle to pick a Villa MotM from that. Nobody stood out above the threshold of incredibly mediocre. Unusually shit game from Grealish and Snodgrass. Albert should be **** ashamed of his missed chances.

Johnstone made a good save or two, so him, probably.

I can't actually believe we played the same "let's just throw strikers on and expect an isolated and tiring Grealish to do everything through the middle" tactic again in an attempt to get back into the game.  Awful.
