If we can have fun quotes then this is an all time favourite

Quote

"I done wrestled with an alligator, I done tussled with a whale; handcuffed lightning, thrown thunder in jail; only last week, I murdered a rock, injured a stone, hospitalised a brick; I'm so mean I make medicine sick."

Muhammad Ali

IF you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:

If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools:

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: 'Hold on!'

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
' Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch,
if neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!

By Mike Bassett, circa 2001.

"Selfishness is not living as one wishes to live, it is asking others to live as one wishes to live.”

The public have an insatiable curiosity to know everything. Except what is worth knowing. Journalism, conscious of this, and having tradesman-like habits, supplies their demands.

....Oscar Wilde

"That's just like, your opinion, man.".....Jeffrey "The Dude" Lebowski

“Except during the nine months before he draws his first breath, no man manages his affairs as well as a tree does.”
George Bernard Shaw, Man and Superman

Technically, the word "wealth" should probably be omitted since the downtrodden proletariat don't really have any wealth to be taken.  They can have other things, like their labor, spirit, etc. taken from them.

There's a few cycling and running ones I like.

"Training is like fighting a gorilla. You don't stop when you're tired, you stop when the gorilla is tired" Greg Henderson

"It doesn't get easier, you just go faster" Greg LeMond

"Pain is temporary, a marathon is forever" random person holding a board at the London marathon

"To give anything less than your best is to sacrifice the gift" Steve Prefontaine

I think most of my favourite quotes would be from Homer Simpson;

"You tried your best and failed miserably. The lesson is: Never try."

"To alcohol! The cause of, and the solution to, all of life's problems"

"I believe children are our future. Unless we stop them now"

"All my life I've had one dream; to achieve my many goals"

And then a few I'm not sure where they come from;

"If at first you don't succeed...give up before you make a fool of yourself"

"Pain is temporary, losing is forever"

"You can't be happy if you've never known sadness"

"The past has gone, the future never comes. Live today."

And then a few other million quotes from Blackadder, Friends, Monty Python, Red Dwarf, movies and everything else. In fact, I'm not sure I've ever had a completely original conversation with anyone. Yes, I'm that guy; Worst. Quote. Ever.
