The now-enacted will of (some of) the people

I see Jeremy Hunt has been doing a great job keeping those European nations that historically quite like us onside:

Two Former Foreign Office Heads Have Condemned Jeremy Hunt For Comparing The EU To Soviet Russia

'In his speech to the Conservative party conference in Birmingham in Sunday, Hunt delighted Brexiteer Tory members by comparing the UK to a "prisoner" in a Soviet prison.

Hunt said: "In August I visited a number of EU countries, including Latvia. I laid a wreath at the Latvian Freedom Monument. I realised that 30 years ago that country was under Soviet occupation."

He asked: "What happened to the confidence and ideals of the European dream? The EU was set up to protect freedom. It was the Soviet Union that stopped people leaving."

"The lesson from history is clear: if you turn the EU club into a prison, the desire to get out won’t diminish it will grow, and we won’t be the only prisoner that will want to escape."'

The Latvian ambassador certainly enjoyed seeing her country used as a political example in this way:

Good job we're long past the point where goodwill from other EU nations could be useful to us, eh.

Remember though, the Government has treated the EU with nothing but respect. Theresa said so.

It's once again like they are too stupid to realise that they do have things like the internet and journalism in Europe.

Set the trap. Bait the trap. Snap!

Love this. Apparently Tory boy then shuffled off stating he had to be somewhere else. My guess is to get his Thatcher era hairstyle re highlighted.

Oh dear. Someones not been keeping up with the program have they.

These gaps will be filled by the millions of scroungers who are lying in bed or sitting on their arses all day only moving to give their curtains a twitch and see the rest of is go off to work and do another days graft. Or by those playing the wag who are severely disabled, mentally ill, have cancer but found fit to work by those given huge incentives to do so. Top of the list has to be though that we can get all those immigrants already here, usually brown bastards, who have only come over here to claim our benefits and live in the 8 bedroom mansions we gave them.

Arlene Foster suggested the Good Friday Agreement could be changed to facilitate negotiations/Brexit. The Good Friday Agreement commanded the assent of 85% of voters on the island of Ireland. And it's enshrined in (the Republic of) Ireland's constitution. So much for respecting democracy and sovereignty.

And of course the only major political party in Northern Ireland to oppose the Belfast Agreement was...

Less educated British men employed in manual work are set to be hit hardest by Brexit – despite being the ones who voted for it. According to a report, males with GCSE qualifications or below are more likely to work in industries at extreme risk from new trade barriers with the EU after Britain’s divorce. The report found clothing manufacture, transport equipment, car manufacturing and the chemicals and pharmaceuticals sectors are most ‘exposed’, given they sell a large amount of their output to the EU.

Data from Ipsos Mori suggests the majority of working class British males with no qualifications voted for Leave in the referendum.

The shocking report comes just a day after Nissan warned a hard Brexit will have ‘serious implications’ for the car-maker’s Sunderland factory. The Japanese firm, which employs about 8,000 people in the UK, said crashing out of the EU’s single market and customs union into World Trading Organisation rules would be detrimental to its operation. A total of 14% of UK workers, or 3.7 million, are employed in industries the IFS classifies as ‘very highly exposed’, sectors estimated to lose more than 5% of their value if trade with the EU was on WTO rules.

Donald Tusk, just after he became leader of the Student Committee of Solidarity in Gdańsk, after his predecessor had been thrown out of a window by the Security Bureau.

He literally risked his life to help bring about the end of Communism in Poland.

Nice story. Maybe just slightly embellished.

Embellished?

1. Its Donald Tusk

2. It's just after he became leader of the Student Committee of Solidarity  in Gdańsk,

3. Its widely accepted, but sometimes disputed that the death of Stanisław Pyjas was suspicious.

4. As it was believed the death was suspicious then anyone taking that position would believe they would be risking their life.

Where is the embellishment?
