jacketspuds
If Everton get him on loan they can pay his wages of 80k/week for the year for 4m. Still less than the 7m we offered for a transfer. We should have tried to loan him in.
Uncle Albert
Let's be honest, when someone is surplus to requirements at the mancs when do they ever do very well? (don't say pique). They just seem to potter on for a few years and there career fizzles out. o'shea, brown etc. I doubt were missing much especially for 8million
TRO
I want a player, who can look at us and say with my involvement I can improve them....as opposed to someone who wants to use the profile of their previous club to promote their standing. Perhaps I'm old fashioned. Edited September 1, 2014 by TRO

Supervillan78
I'd give it another 20 mins before Cleverly realises that Everton aren't going to sign him and he'll be forced to play bit part football for the next few months. Oh dear Tom.

So you'd spend half our reported budget on laoning a player who would then more than likely join another club for free?
benireduk
Looking at Red Cafe. It appears they have similar views to us. If he does sign for Everton, there's no guarantee he's going to get in their starting XI. Is the Europa League much of a pull?
OutByEaster? Posted September 1, 2014 Moderator Share Posted September 1, 2014 Sounds like he liked Martinez and wanted to work with him again - I wouldn't be all that surprised if his wage demands at Everton are lower than here - he's done what most of us would do in his position, asked his second choice for a lot of money knowing he was potentially either going to be rich or where he wanted to go. mikeyp102
If the 80k is true it's football gone mad. What has he done in the game to warrant that amount?

OutByEaster? Posted September 1, 2014 Moderator Share Posted September 1, 2014 That amount isn't that massive with the new deal. Since Albrighton got £35k a week, I've been having to rethink wages for Premier league players. A first team Premier league player should be after £50k a week as a minimum. lapal_fan
Please walk away. The last thing this club needs is a cocky arse from a complete failure of a season at utd, to come here and harm the staus quo.
