CarewsEyebrowDesigner
How on earth have they turned it around so much after being bottom of the league this time last year? I look at their team and see a lot of solid professionals with a sprinkling of quality. There is no real difference between themselves and, for arguments sake, Stoke. Yet one is top of the league and the other is mid-table where you would expect. They never really dominate games, and their defence isn't that great, but they counter attack well and take their chances clinically. Strange times. I think their form will dip at some point and when it does I think they'll drop like a stone and finish around 7th/8th.

Mantis
Confidence has a lot to do with it I suspect. In fact us and Leicester are pretty much the prime examples this season of just how good you can be when you're confident and just how bad you can be when you're not. If both teams we're equally confident I don't think there'd be much between us because on paper I wouldn't say their squad is miles better than ours.
VillaJ100
They were saying on SSN yesterday, there is just the first signs of their run petering out. They are looking more and more tired at the end of games just due to the huge effort they put in. I think the busy Christmas will break them. A week off now so will probably be less tired against Pool
VillaChris
It's interesting when people say the big difference between them and us is last season they were at least scoring goals. They weren't actually: This is their run from Mid September to Mid March: Sa 27Sep 2014 C Palace 2 - 0 Leicester L PREMIER LEAGUE Sa 04Oct 2014 Leicester 2 - 2 Burnley D PREMIER LEAGUE Sa 18Oct 2014 Newcastle 1 - 0 Leicester L PREMIER LEAGUE Sa 25Oct 2014 Swansea 2 - 0 Leicester L PREMIER LEAGUE Sa 01Nov 2014 Leicester 0 - 1 West Brom L PREMIER LEAGUE Sa 08Nov 2014 Southampton 2 - 0 Leicester L PREMIER LEAGUE Sa 22Nov 2014 Leicester 0 - 0 Sunderland D PREMIER LEAGUE Sa 29Nov 2014 QPR 3 - 2 Leicester L PREMIER LEAGUE Tu 02Dec 2014 Leicester 1 - 3 Liverpool L PREMIER LEAGUE Su 07Dec 2014 Aston Villa 2 - 1 Leicester L PREMIER LEAGUE Sa 13Dec 2014 Leicester 0 - 1 Man City L PREMIER LEAGUE Sa 20Dec 2014 West Ham 2 - 0 Leicester L PREMIER LEAGUE Fr 26Dec 2014 Leicester 1 - 2 Tottenham L PREMIER LEAGUE Su 28Dec 2014 Hull 0 - 1 Leicester W PREMIER LEAGUE Th 01Jan 2015 Liverpool 2 - 2 Leicester D ENGLISH FA CUP Sa 03Jan 2015 Leicester 1 - 0 Newcastle W PREMIER LEAGUE Sa 10Jan 2015 Leicester 1 - 0 Aston Villa W PREMIER LEAGUE Sa 17Jan 2015 Leicester 0 - 1 Stoke L ENGLISH FA CUP Sa 24Jan 2015 Tottenham 1 - 2 Leicester W PREMIER LEAGUE Sa 31Jan 2015 Man Utd 3 - 1 Leicester L PREMIER LEAGUE Sa 07Feb 2015 Leicester 0 - 1 C Palace L PREMIER LEAGUE Tu 10Feb 2015 Arsenal 2 - 1 Leicester L ENGLISH FA CUP Su 15Feb 2015 Aston Villa 2 - 1 Leicester L PREMIER LEAGUE Su 22Feb 2015 Everton 2 - 2 Leicester D PREMIER LEAGUE We 04Mar 2015 Man City 2 - 0 Leicester L PREMIER LEAGUE Sa 14Mar 2015 Leicester 0 - 0 Hull They scored more than 1 goal in just 5 games and a couple of those were cups. Their premier league record over a 6 month period was: P22 W2 D5 L15 The only thing I can say looking at that is they at least start picking up some results over the xmas period (4 points at Hull and Liverpool and then beat us) so we really need to be doing that now.
gharperr
i could be wrong but iirc they were playing quite "well" and was unlucky to lose quite a lot of the games in that time period. Edited December 20, 2015 by gharperr

Jimzk5
Still boils my piss that we absolutely played them off the park, was 2-0 up with less than 20 minutes left and lost with the shortest player on the pitch beating 3 6ft+ players to a header. VillaChris
I don't think we'd be that much higher in the league tbh, still serious weaknesses at both ends of our team even though we did play well for 70 minutes that day. Think we'd be on 17-18 points just outside the bottom 3 and Sherwood clinging to his job which is still preferable to what we have now obviously.
