R.I.C.O.
Cometh the hour, cometh the pieman. I bet he will start every match from now on.
KHV
I really hope we are not relying on Holt now, he is **** terrible. I'd rather play Bowery, Holt has got the turning circle of a cruise liner, the pace of a snail and the touch of a rapist

Popular Post Mantis
I don't blame Holt or Lambert really - if it wasn't for our terrible injury luck he wouldn't even be here. Benteke has been very good when fit and Kozak was pretty decent up until his leg break - now we've lost both of them. jayEm
Got get behind him now, whatever we think of him. Maybe now some pressure is on him, he'll show a little more. Edited April 3, 2014 by jayEm
CrackpotForeigner
His career is coming to an end. He's been an excellent player in the past. Now he has a chance to motivate himself for a final flourish in the PL. Who knows, maybe he'll take it?
Risso
We can't play him, he's dire. It's bad enough having to watch most Villa games without the sight of Grant Holt hauling his fat self around the pitch.

Stevo985 Posted April 3, 2014 VT Supporter Share Posted April 3, 2014 Kind of backs up Lamberts decision to buy a striker in this mould. It doesn't excuse the fact that he settled on Grant Holt. But the logic behind the signing makes a bit more sense
Isa
I don't think the logic of it was ever questioned. Just the ability and fitness levels of the player in question.

Then we wouldn't need a player like Holt.
