What's with the name kryton?

Kryten.   Came from the Rogues Gallery thread a while ago.  Somebody pointed out that he looks like Kryten from Red Dwarf.

Confirmed by them too, good luck to him.

Really good move.

Cracking deal

Kidderminster Harriers can confirm that Joe Lolley has this afternoon finally completed a transfer to Skybet Championship side Huddersfield Town.

Nobody will need reminding of Joe’s remarkable rise through non-league football, making the leap of six levels to sign for Harriers in the summer and settling like a duck to water at Aggborough with eleven goals this season.

Joe’s flair and form have alerted him to a number of clubs but, after a busy few days, it is the Terriers who have won the race to sign Joe on a long-term contract.

Harriers Chairman Mark Serrell has confirmed that while the Club are to receive an initial six-figure sum for Lolley, the structure of the deal to take the player to Huddersfield is a more long-term one.

He said “I think I made it quite clear recently that Kidderminster Harriers was not in a position where it needed to sell any player so this isn’t about us simply gaining a large sum of money very quickly.

“Joe has been kept informed of where we’ve been in respect of dealings with clubs and he has been made a terrific offer from Huddersfield to go and play football in the Championship.

"He's performed fantastically on the pitch during all of this - not least last night - but his heart is set on what is something of a dream move for him and I don’t think anybody would want to see him denied that.

“So the two clubs have established a deal to make that happen and, as it our belief that this will not be Joe’s last big move in football, we’ve worked to ensure that Kidderminster Harriers is looked after in the future.”

Wonder if he got a signing on fee and/or loyalty bonus!

You know you've made it when you've sparked some typical fan bickering on a football forum. They've been at it on a Huddersfield website:

"He's not worth the money and it's too much of a gamble"

"He's a good prospect, of course he's worth it"

"Haven't we got enough strikers"

"I heard he'll play out wide anyway or he'll be loaned straight back"

Some posters claim to have seen him play for Kiddie whilst one poster did the classic - "I've just spoken to a Kidderminster Harriers supporting mate of mine and he said..."

:D
