Had a pretty severe tidal surge, and my local town was badly flooded:

Cowes has had the same, but to a lesser extent. Same expected tonight, already been without power on two occasions for 12 hours each time over the past week.

Electric company have put a temporary fix in place.

I miss summer.

Cowes is on the IOW if I'm not mistaken isn't it, we already have a severe lack of engineers down South and we don't normally send them to the IOW so if we get an massive increase over there it will be a nightmare.

Car insurance by the way

I was gonna say it's packoman & Corcaigh I feel sorry for, then I notice who posted it :o As an aside, all forecasts over here recently seem to start with "In Galway..." :)

The height in feet of waves heading this way.

I doubt it. By the time the black waves get to the shore, they'll be in the blue / light green range.

I think thats rather the current range of the "Swell"

If those waves were black when they hit the shore they'd be one huge tsunami
