  1. Going to moan about peoples posts.......
  2. On the centre back, assume Carlos will be out of the season but regardless I think its an opportunity to keep Chambers/Konsa happy this season and have Carlos back next season to add to depth and push one of them out. I dont see Bednarak as better than Chamber or Carlos meaning we are just waiting for Carlos to come back if we do sign him. If we pay big money then they are going straight into the team. Maxence Lacroix for me but we should have signed Nathan Collins.
  3. Couldn’t agree more!!! The fact that most of their fans are fans because of winning whether they accept it or not, the whole situation is great. They have spent money, it’s not owners money but generated money. They should be better than they are not just in squad but all infrastructure. Welcome to the real world of football. As villa fans we have had our own but there are far worse off fans than ours. Long May it continue.
  4. Just rewatched the first fight. Forgot how close Usyk was to the knock in the final seconds of the last round. AJ cant be nieve but he needs to swing hard for Usyk, he wont win a boxing technique match against him.
  5. In that circumstance I’ll be going inside to inhale a boiling hot pie and enjoy the burn instead
  6. I’m not necessarily saying we should boo after a bother loss. For what it’s worth I think it would be aimed at the manager not players.
  7. Will be training into Moor Street. Think all the trains into Aston are cancelled so a nice hour long walk or a taxi it will be. Getting back from Aston to the station will be terrible.
  8. There will be boos if we lost this
  9. I dont want him sacked at all, I also dont want him sacked on the back of one game. However, based on last seasons formations/peformances, the questions remained of whether it would work and whether he could get the best out of the players we have/bring in. If the answers to those remain no which they currently are he will have to go, just remains how long it has to remain no for.
  10. He will succeed or fail on his faith in Coutinho. He is a spare part, a luxury we cant afford and are built around.
  11. I just don’t see how you can blame the war when the energy companies are still marking increasing profits. Market conditions cause price rises, usually these are passed onto the consumer, fine, it’s what you would expect. But when profits dramatically increase, the cost of production/transport/future purchase/insurance ect has been absorbed in the increase and the increase has been in excess of the requirement. That then comes down to company management. However you would never deny a small company the chance the make extra when they have a commodity that people require but the impact of this is ridiculous. The government have to step in, unfortunately it is completely against their ethos to do that to large business. I am now part of a generation where it is horrible hard to save for a house which far outstrips my income in value and when owning one it’s crippling to heat it while watching my £9 a month Netflix account.
  12. Never even heard of some of that list, seems to be a list to try and get a point across. Cundle has played 4 games, Anderson 1, Odibeko 0, Sarmiento 5, Coventry 0, Downes 0, Onana not signed yet. Roman (Saiss?) is a centre back, Barnes a winger, Almiron a winger. You also forgot Kamara, Nakamba and Iroebugnam. Based on the criteria of your list Buendia, Coutinho and Chambers have all played midfield and so has Cash actually. In terms of numbers we have them, people can question the quality if they want.
  13. Yes it’s fairly common if not expected that most don’t make it. It was your point that mentioned James and Mount as a reason for optimism on his part…
  14. Along with Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Trevor Chalobah and Callum Hudson-Odoi. However the following also came through the academy and didnt: Tammy Abraham Marc Guehi Tariq Lampety Armando Broja Fikayo Tomori Tino Livramento Connor Gallagher I know the timelines dont quite match up but the point is its very hard to make it at Chelsea and even if you are good enough you may still get sold as a way to make funds for "bigger" signings. I think its a stupid decision and not against him personally I hope he fails so that the long list of highly rated players still in our academy see that the grass isnt greener, you have to earn the big move first.
  15. I did love his passion but did feel he was going over board. Not with what he was saying just time and place. He said his piece and rightly so but then turned every question about praise of them back around. I suppose what better place to say it than when it’s being watched by millions after a win. Delighted for the team and even more so for the little girls watching that will be inspired by it.
  16. I am now at the point where you surely cannot back this government from any angle. There is no consistent position. The new price hike from Martin Lewis should be the end, unfortunately the poor seem to be the patriotic so vote for the abusers.
  17. I had kind of forgotten two things about last season. The fact he was dropped for some one who wasn’t performing and importantly how well he was playing when he came on. Unfotunately I think the Ings Watkins partnership will persist, leaving less spots for Emi and a continued back up to Coutinho.
  18. I’m not saying it’s not welcomed. It’s more if you don’t believe in helping poor people, support nhs, higher business tax ect ect then don’t. Wolf in sheeps clothing and all that.
  19. I agree with the premise of making decisions based on circumstance and evidence, it’s clearly sensible. However like the Boris u-turns, they are a political party with an ethos and madates based upon campaigns. Sometimes I think they should stick to initial decisions, own what you are, reap the results. Not change because it’s not a popular decision because then what you stand for is whatever way the wind is blowing.
  20. World Health Organisation have now declared Monkey Pox a global health emergency
  21. Unfortunately they portray it is as everyone else’s fault and they are the ones to fix it, in an election in the near future there will be a “we are the only party to fix brexit” slogan.
  22. Starmer doesn’t need to to come up with anything at the moment, it would be nice but it would be something the tories would beat him with. Letting then rip each other apart is perfect. On Kwarteng, that policy is abhorrent in what it’s trying to achieve. Useless in its application.
  23. Yeah beer is massive, also ruins the diet for the next day for me. As @CVByrne says general routine is key. Behaviours and actions you can actually keep up. Regarding exercise I didn’t relate to The “Just do it” slogan when I was younger. I do now.
