Why is a bail out of energy companies necessary? They are in profit? Surely cap the price to operating costs/inflation profit increase? Something I’m missing? From a Tory perspective I understand they wouldn’t want to stop their mates making massive profits at the expensive of the average Jo, so would bail out and then make them pay anyway via budget cuts on services. Seen that many times before.

Charles Dance is absolutely perfect for Tywin, as you say every scene is gold. I think him spending time with Arya might be some of his best bits. Bron becomes a bit of repetitive parody towards the end. Rhys Ifans looks to be the only one with the character to match his acting chops for something similar to the best of GOT. Matt Smith and Paddy Considine certainly can do it. This weeks episode has upped the tempo and the scheming, looking forward to it all falling apart hopefully skewing toward the politics over action, the dragons provide enough action.

Whether it’s because of Purslow I don’t know but I have a horrible feeling he will be given time even if we lose the next 3. Then I see Gerard’s body language and going straight down the tunnel and think he knows he’s done for. Ultimately the team results matter and so do the performances, we are tacticallly shit.

Bentalab played 30 games before leaving. Eriksen and Son signed for big fees at the time. Dier was already playing for Sporting before joining. Alli was wanted by everyone. Kanes breakout season was actually under Poch to be fair. I supposed the bigger thing, do we have comparable talents. Do we think Bailey has the potential to be as good as Son? We don’t have an Eriksen? Ramsey to be as good as that version of Alli? Talking about Poch and signings is pretty irrelevant for me as he isn’t coming. But comparing this villa to that spurs may also be irrelevant as our young signings are just not on par.

Poch was very good for spurs, but youth promotion is a myth. Winks was the only one at spurs.

I’ve seen some clueless pundits compare this to Arteta last season or saying he needs time, Coutinho is key ect ect. Those pundits are certainly not watching us week on week. They are just sound bites for when they are asked about a team they know nothing about. It’s the magical 10s I’m struggling with. It’s where is all fails for me, whether it’s one or two. We have no width high up the pitch so everything becomes congested with no one to pass to, we then use the full backs who then have to travel far to create and then expose us. Gerrard saying we lacked some magic and creativity yesterday smacks of him not knowing tactically what is going on due his formation. How about you play Buendia and Bailey consistently and give them as much of a chance as Coutinho. I said at the start of the season he will fail or succeed based on how Coutinho plays. Getting fired shortly it looks like.

Coming into post the same. Made his name as a winger. Although he travelled far for the goal he received it on the side line, much more natural for him. Look forward to seeing him in a congested midfield as a 10

He doesn’t seem to have the legs for the English game any more. Adding to his best position being as coming off the left but not being played there.

Hes a very good player, will be delighted if it happens. Should certainly be in for Jao Pedro from Watford aswell.

It isn’t brexit, you don’t have to like him just because. He’s been a decent heavy weight but is quite clearly not the person he’s portrayed to be for so many years. (Mr Clean) From a boxing perspective the better fighter won last night. I enjoyed the fight and was torn during it about who I was cheering. Pleased Usyk won.

Maybe 1 win in 6 in the next 3 weeks. Im not sure I have faith in Purslow to do the right thing. Gerrard himself doesn’t seem to have the right ideas or a way to change. Using our full backs for width in all of his formations means we are very vulnerable to wingers against them, balls over the top and they have to travel too far to create anything.

On the centre back, assume Carlos will be out of the season but regardless I think its an opportunity to keep Chambers/Konsa happy this season and have Carlos back next season to add to depth and push one of them out. I dont see Bednarak as better than Chamber or Carlos meaning we are just waiting for Carlos to come back if we do sign him. If we pay big money then they are going straight into the team. Maxence Lacroix for me but we should have signed Nathan Collins.

Couldn’t agree more!!! The fact that most of their fans are fans because of winning whether they accept it or not, the whole situation is great. They have spent money, it’s not owners money but generated money. They should be better than they are not just in squad but all infrastructure. Welcome to the real world of football. As villa fans we have had our own but there are far worse off fans than ours. Long May it continue.

Just rewatched the first fight. Forgot how close Usyk was to the knock in the final seconds of the last round. AJ cant be nieve but he needs to swing hard for Usyk, he wont win a boxing technique match against him.
