Fair play a clean sheet in the championship for Luton. Hopefully he keep the number 1 shirt from now on.

Thought the centre halves were great. Chrisene looks really good, oddly reminded me of Grealish in the way he plays. That drawing in of the challenge before shifting the ball away I think it is. The lad at right back for us had a bit of a mare in the second half. Chuk plays like he is a level above the rest but little end product tonight. Brad Young was busy, glad he got a goal.

I really dont think West Hams squad should be above ours. Perhaps the performances of Rice and Bowen have moved them above this season though. Also some of our players have regressed.

Not sure on the calls for Bailey to start. He looked a million miles away from a premier league player on Saturday.

I wouldnt mind us taking a gamble on Andrew Woodman (I think it is) at Bristol City. 4th top scorer in the championship this season.

Haha. For the season to date, we have won about a third of our games. You're right, if we stop winning completely then we will go down.

I dont think they were necessarily put into bad areas though. Just we either didnt burst into the box late or they slightly evaded the runner.

I agree, he could really do with 90 minutes at villa park in a pressure off game.

I mean looking at it's simply, results have been worse since he signed and that's been against poorer teams too. Hopefully we can collectively turn it around.

I remember when I was younger going to watch the Villa reserves play quite regularly at villa park. And those teams often featured players in and around the first team who needed game time. Why doesnt this happen more now? Is it because you cant field anyone over 23? I'd think the likes of Bailey, Sanson etc could do with 90 minutes of reasonably competitive football.

I mean not beating Watford and Brentford this season is unacceptable. You want an absolute minimum of two wins from those games and probably even three.

No I know, not right now. But if he gets one in two in the championship through to the end of the season. He will be likely very involved with us next season youd have thought.

Ye sorry sarcastic wasnt right. It was almost like a statement from him I think to say, "here I am". You had a load clapping him and about 3 or 4 around me shouting f*** of ollie. I wonder if it was partly from him in response to the online grief he has received. He didnt break eye contact with the people in the lower holte and he was at the six yard box. Clearly hes struggling, I think he just needs the fans support.

Ings is the better footballer, in the footballer sense of the word. I just think he tires on the second half.

Is it because he tired or did the subs mean we list our rhythm? I thought he was very sharp in the first half. Maybe he should play the first hour and bring Watkins on for him going forward.

Ye I'm hoping he and villa collectively are going to find our feet. But we have had one win in five games since he came. And those five games have included 4 of the bottom 6 teams I think. He has had a really good 30 minutes or so across all of those appearances. But very average or even below average for most of it.

Feel sorry for him sometimes. Deserves better from those further forward.

We're 12th and 9 points above the relegation zone. Also 150/1 to go down. That's similar sort of odds to what Everton are to win the premier league at the start of each season. We obviously can still go down, but so can most of the premier league.

That struck me too today. Does throwing forwards on in Scotland for Rangers typically get you a goal. It probably does. Might not work in the english premier league so easy.

Unless he thought Cash had lost his head a little. He got a mindless booking and was clearly wound up with the ref. Agree with you though, Young is no good for what was required.

I mean this is appalling from 20 shots. 5% of our shots were on target, while 50% of Watfords were.

Anyone see his clapping at the holte end at the end. I want to say it was sarcastic but that might not be the right word and I dont know his intention. But he never comes that close to the six yard box in the clapping the fans after, even after we win or he scores. He had a lot of people in the lower holte shouting abuse back at him which didn't help. Also while we're on not helping, the bellends booing and sarcastically cheering douglas Luiz, honestly what's the point.
