Do you watch football? Or are you trolling? Luiz was OK against Wolves but to suggest he has been anything other than Villa's standout player so far this season is wrong.

Got two tickets for this, me and my middle son (he's eight yrs). Travelling to England for a week, see the family in Brum, Alton Towers, Cadbury World then this game is the highlight. UTV

Tough game for Watkins playing against Wolves and their six defenders... Still got an assist and maybe on another day two goals.

To be fair he has missed a few chances now... A little frustrating.

Villa looked tired... Always difficult against Wolves though. Konsa MOTM. Diaby, Zaniolo poor for me, a little wasteful at times. Villa had eighteen shots at goal and hence I think we should have won. Watkins also unlucky not to get a goal at the death there.

I think he's excellent, getting better too. Cash was a big part in turning the game in our favour against Zrinjski Mostar.

This IS the future... I went to the Allianz fifteen years ago and noticed how much space and options to eat/drink were very good. But I guess they have more space, English grounds are restricted so we cannot be too critical of Villa, this is a necessity for improved revenue.

From the training photos it looks like Bailey and Traore are fit, would like to see them get a half each. Luiz I think should play as he is in the form of his life.

If Villa are top four in January I think we will really kick on... Players will be keen to be part of the project and I think we could attract a real top player in January.

Not sure if this was discussed but after Brighton scored and were getting a little joy down our right flank Emery switched things around and played Kamara in defence to add some solidity. Cash was pushed up to right side of midfield and this allowed us to re-balance and get hold of the ball a bit more, Villa then took control of the game. I recall this also happened earlier in the season for a short period of a game (PL?) where Kamara was used in the right-side of defence. Professor Emery indeed.

Really good performance from him against Brighton... Helped out in defence a little during the second-half too.

Noticed this at the final whistle when I watched the game and YOU see De Zerbi almost blanks Emery and whatever he had to say in consolation. Anyways I'm glad the media darlings got schooled.

A wonderful cameo and what a finish....hopefully this eases the burden on that left-side. So calm and assured with the ball at his feet and quick going forward... Zaniolo still settling in too...

Was just about to say this, he's becoming a leader. Loved his reaction when Ansu Fati kicked him, brilliant!

I said this ages ago too when some were questioning him... Always wants the ball, demands the ball and has complete awareness of his ability. Luiz is getting better too!

My favourite player and has been for some time. Five consecutive goals in home games, 70 PL appearances from a possible 72.

I really like him, seems a great guy and he works so hard. Another very good game today, especially first-half against Brighton.

In their build-up Sky mentioned Villa having a mixed start to the PL season and in contrast Brighton having an EXCEPTIONAL start... It's a little weird considering only three points separate the teams. Still find it really weird how Villa are represented in the media; almost downtrodden, unfashionable...I think sixth in the PL is pretty good considering those injuries.

Excellent work, I love all of them. There is obviously a synergy there which could work against different coloured kits if necessary. The Claret and Gold is a classic look, although I do like the second one (above).
