    A big problem, mentioned in commentary was the lack of support in front. Kamara and Tielemans were non-existent.

    When living in Brum I was at the Villa for many home games from 1987 to 1994, so I got to see some of McGrath. Now yes he's a great player but I was always excited by attacking players, my heroes were Walters, Daley, Platt, Yorke and of course in more modern times Grealish. Jack Grealish is certainly up there as a great player but he does also p*** me off.

    Konsa's improvement under Emery has been outstanding in all areas of his game; there is still room to progress for him which is great for Villa.

    Interesting to see J. Ramsey and Moreno on the plane if maybe just for a few minutes if the game is won. No Diego Carlos by the looks of it...

    Would be great to turn them over again... If they continue to play the way they have so far this season Villa have nothing to fear.

    My son and I are travelling over for the West Ham game, I might try and get us in here. He's only eight years of old but would be good to see some former players too. I think this is a good idea personally; as has been said Villa have to do it in order to maximise income.

    Agree 100%. It is far overdue Villa tweaked their prices accordingly; business strategy is now at the forefront and we all need to understand that. The philosophy is that this will make Villa more successful in every aspect of the footballing world.

    Ramsey was absolutely brilliant last season and the relationship with Moreno down the left is a big miss for Villa this season. I'd hope Villa are very careful with both though and do not push them back too quickly. Anyway Ramsey has to start when fit and in terms of who drops out I think it seems a difficult situation; McGinn can often fade quickly playing two games in a week so perhaps he gets rotated and drops out against a so-called weaker team? It's why managing players is so important for fitness, ego, morale etc.

    Call it marketing or perhaps Capitalism, an American idealogy. Like it or not they are good at that and as a result Villa will go through changes whilst upsetting many a 'fan' along the way. If they get it right and improve Villa's financial situation many a fan will be left behind and replaced by another fan. Maybe, it will change the moaning rhetoric of many a Villa fan too; that would be good.

    Eze is the same position as Jacob Ramsey... Can't see Villa going for him at all, plus he's a London boy who loves that culture.

    Greal-hiss is destined for Newcastle-arabia or Chelsea for sure... How much is he worth now? One could perhaps argue he's a better 'team' player in some respects...

    Captain material for sure and also he and Martinez are surely two of our most important players now.

    I think Villa will go almost full-strength for this; get a win away from home and sets us up nicely for the rest of the group.

    Really lively when he came on, sort of changed the game with his energy. And what a strike!

    Yeah noticed that.. Also threw a little strop when he came off, looked like he chucked his water bottle? Maybe that's what French players tend to do re: Sanson.

    I disagree. Villa are missing the leadership qualities of Mings, his physical prowess and reading of the game... It is what it is and hopefully Villa learn to adapt.

    Another fine performance; even against Liverplop he was Villa's best player. Celebration was good with the corner flag; I think he gets it.

    Torres needs time, he doesn't need to be lightning quick. But must read the game better, I'm sure he will. I think he's good on the ball and often looking to use the ball positively.

    I agree, it's awful the abuse he gets and of course from many people. But then we have to remember that many football fans aren't particularly bright or intelligent human beings who think it is okay to abuse other people.

    I think Villa will concede in most PL games until the likes of Torres can adapt and Moreno is back playing. Going 3-1 Villa, hopefully we have too much for them. Villa have to continue to be strong at home and try and nick a few wins away from home.

    I think Villa will sign a couple of players (at least) in January to bolster the squad and perhaps more if there are any more injuries. Hopefully Villa are in a good position around December/January which also looks favourable if there is a 'next-level' player that can improve the team. January can also unearth some good players contrary to this incorrect notion that it is a bad time to buy players. For instance; Villa signed Ashley Young, Chelsea signed Matic, Liverpool signed Coutinho, Man Poo signed Fernandes, Liverplop signed Van Dijk, the list is endless...
