  1. Villa have given both too much of the ball... We didn't impose our game from the start; Villa crumbled in both games. Scared, weak, naive choose your words; all three suffice.
  2. I agree, why can't we keep it tight for twenty minutes? It is so crucial in football when you go away to a top team. Villa look miles off today, too many passengers again.
  3. So why do we give teams the emphasis? Villa were scared of the Barcodes and Liverplop, hence we lose.
  4. Not just about Pau Torres, Klopp has done a job on Emery today. Villa are miles off...
  5. Again we give the emphasis to the opposition... Villa look poor...
  6. If Villa get a clean sheet we win the game I think. Big ask though, I'd take a draw but also feel it is Villa's best chance to do them over.
  7. Hopefully Villa can get something out of this, a draw would be fine. However surely with the mainstay of their defence out we can give them a good game; never a better opportunity. If the game is still in the balance I have a feeling Zaniolo will get on for thirty minutes and turn the game (hopefully). UTV
  8. I too wish him well...a good guy and model professional. A shame Villa only saw fleeting moments of his brilliance yet we saw him score goals, assist and work some skills. At least there is that. But yeah agree with @Jas10 Zaniolo can be that player, possibly. Diaby too has insane skills and pace. The game moves on... UTV
  9. It is now part of the Aston Villa medical process...
  10. Marlon Harewood with a hat-trick if I remember correctly?
  11. Villa were in second gear against them in the first leg.... At Villa Park it was first gear... Some bright sparks in Kellyman, Jhon Durán and Revan showed some good pace if not a little inexperienced. I watched the match on Villa TV and it sounded as though there were no Villa fans in attendance, the crowd seemed really poor. In contrast the away fans were good, although probably all pi***ed; very funny that Villa scored during their rendition of Flower of Scotland.
  12. So what? If you want to use that odd logic we could mention the likes of Messi, Lewandowski, Neymar Jnr... It's a good signing in my opinion, the statistics comparing him with Mings also confirm it.
  13. Interesting. I always thought this was a good move but those statistics confirm it. This again potentially improves the CB position if you look at those numbers from a possession based perspective.
  14. Great finish from Duràn, but yeah the pass from Torres was perfection. Duràn is strong, quick and does have a great shot on him, unlucky not to get a second against Hibs. Still lots to work on but think we'll be seeing alot of him this season.
  15. Omari Kellyman looks to have talent, played against a strong and physical team yet looked comfortable. At only 17 years of age he could be a fantastic Villa player. I was really impressed, hopefully he gets some minutes this season in the Cups or the odd PL match.
  16. This. I despise them both and their over-inflated perception of themselves.... Would love to smash them both, probably similar to the score against Hibs. Granted both Glasgow teams are slightly better but only because they have ten times the budget of every other team in Scotland. They would massively raise their game against Villa though...
  17. Potentially a good move... An international and a player who has played for one of the best teams in the Champions League. His experience will help Villa, especially in Europe.
  18. Yeah I've bought it, as I live outside of England I'm happy it's a possibility. UTV
  19. Guess what Felix wants, Felix gets. I must admit terrible vibes from him and on the back of one decent season! Close to the end of EVERY transfer window there are rumours of a marquee signing on the last day; never happens though. And you know what i'm fine with that; Felix does not fit with the 'family' and philosophy of unity Emery wants to create at Villa. With Moreno and J. Ramsey back Villa are looking good.
  20. Caicedo = £110 million, that's a benchmark for Douglas Luiz. Luiz is integral to Villa and selling him to a direct rival makes no sense whatsoever.
