  2. @lainux in addition ... A lot of people have suggested that there is room for extra seats in the current footprint. There used to be more anyway, so why couldn't they be reintroduced? Profile/rake can be modified, and concourse gaps can be filled. There is 100% the possibility to add 700+ seats without moving anyone out their current seat. There may well be the opportunity to add even more. I dont think it's a given that they will force anyone to move. Call me naive, but I reckon the ~1300 Heck mentions is mostly new seats. It aligns with the total capacity they're claiming we'll have, and aligns with his latest comments about keeping costs the same for everyone currently there, but increasing them for those that are willing to pay a surplus. The relatively small percentage that isn't moving people, will hopefully be those seats that usually go on general sale. It's easily done, and I really think Heck has learnt his lesson from the lower grounds debacle.
  3. There’s a lot of competition, but this NFL player name could just well be the best one yet
  4. He seems to have done nothing at spurs because he keeps getting dropped for no apparent reason after a pretty good performance. Emery, having worked with him and extolled his virtues before, seems to know he's a brilliant player. If we go back in for him, I trust that it's because Emery thinks he'll improve our squad, and Monchi thinks we'll be able to get him for a relatively decent price. If we dont sign him, then fair enough, but if we do it's because he'll be a good value addition to our squad.

  6. I don't think it's odd, since Unai came in signings have been made on the down low, we barely hear anything and then bam signing done. I think that with Monchi here now, targets will have been identified and we will go about our business as quietly as possible. We are in a new era now, we don't **** about and I for one am happy about. Gone are the days of us being linked with every possible player looking for a move and then being disappointed when inevitably they don't sign for us. I feel very confident we will sign one if not two new fullbacks, if the deals can be done without having our pants pulled down.
  7. And the weirdest thing about what he's done is that the leaked badge and the AU500 have absolutely fk all in common. They're totally alien to each other. On brand? My arse.
  8. I only watched Detectorists a few months ago so I can’t believe I forgot it. Perhaps not that funny, but an all time great TV show nonetheless.
  9. Think he's going to be more like Duran in the sense it won't really be until his third season where he gets significant minutes though expect him to be a bit part player next year.
  10. Well where will new seats go, there isn't anywhere? Had to be upgrade of premium seats.
  11. I actually always associate fish and chips with after swimming
  12. Think all Sheff Weds need to do to stay up is win at Sunderland.
  13. Guardian If you click into the article, about halfway down, the guardian have an amusing little line when comparing her book sales to that of Blair’s and Cameron’s
  14. I'm pissed and had an amazing thought without much thought Retractable seating on the corners of the north stand ( like train rails so they can be moved away from the ground when we do expand the north stand). So build the tracks , add in the stands each side, that instantly adds extra seating. Then later Knock down north stand ( retract the sides so they are safe) rebuild north stand and then move the side seats so level with new north stand once built. Less impact on gate receipts while redeveloping the north stand due to the sides being put into place once demolition is done on north stand and rebuilding is taking place. Clearly not thought it through but have polished off a bottle of e18hteen caramel rum tonight so if nothing else, that's an achievement
  15. Heck is the President of Business Operations at V Sports; I suspect a good chunk of time is focused on V Sports' subsidiary Aston Villa. And in turn, likely a lot of this time is spent on alleviating the fears of the fashionistas at Villa Talk.
  16. Fantastic news to come back to after I have been away due to illness. I cannot believe a manager at AVFC has actually come out and said that he wants to win the lot. Jaw dropping stuff.
  17. That depends. Spurs bring in £110 million per season from matchday revenue. That’s like 50% of our total revenue for last season.
  18. Just for reference from Deloitte if it's been a while since posted. Villa are just below the lowest on here. It is dramatic how matchday revenues offer so few opportunities to bring in new money. Commercial revs are obviously the pot of gold.
  19. 9 **** notifications all of them taking the piss out of me spending a **** ton of money buy tickets I should have had for £30. What's wrong with you people?
  20. This. If Villa don't find a ways to expand revenue as dramatically our club's football has improved, the project will eventually run low on petrol. We've got to get the revenues up and up and up.
