I swear in the 89/90 season they had a live game on every Sunday. I was only 6/7 though, so maybe I'm wrong.

Probably did, I'm going back further than that Ruge, Live League football started in about 84 I think

Wasn't it called 'The Big Match Live' presented by Brian Moore. I vividly remember it starting the season that Tony Cottee and Frank Macavennie started on fire for West Ham.

Might have only lasted a season though as ITV ran out of money or the Sky deals were brewing.

You could be right. I think the 90/91 season when Arsenal won the league, and Leeds 91/92 winners, it was still on then. Always remember us getting hammered by Leeds which was on a Sunday and live on tv in the 91/92 season. Sky had the premier league from the start though.

There was a world with only 2 channels, I'm a three channel man personally (BBC 2 Started in 64 I think), distinctly remember the TV revolution of Ch4 starting

When we beat Norwich in the 1975 League Cup final, it wasn't even televised at all. I remember being in Birmingham and those that weren't at the game were getting any shop that sold Hi-Fi systems to test the radio facility. Record decks, nah, cassette decks, not interested, all about Radio that day...

Sounds shit

Villa 6 Everton 2 - bonfire night, 1989. One of my most memorable ITV games.

Everton would have gone top with a win

Remember this, and always used to love watching it on VHS season review.

I think that was around 86/87 time as Cottee joined Everton in the summer of 88 for a record UK transfer.

4-1 at home - was there and Leeds were brilliant.

Sounds right. I would have been 10/11

I would watch football on the ‘upstairs’ tv. A portable black and white that you tuned in with a dial ?

God I sound like an old codger ?

The earliest non cup, non international football I can remember being on live terrestrial telly was the Division 1 games they used to show on itv in the 90’s on a Sunday afternoon.

QPR coming back from 4-0 down to draw with Port Vale was probably the most memorable game.

I remember those! For some reason it was always Stoke, Port Vale, or Stoke vs Port Vale, or at least in my memory anyway. Maybe some Tranmere thrown in.

With me it was always Swindon. They were always on.

I really hate it when people at work say stuff like "Oh you never come over and speak to me"

or

"You haven't spoken to me yet today"

Well neither have you, word removed.

Chuminess at work really annoys me. It's either forced or it happens naturally. 99% of the time it's forced. I've been called cold before because I don't swan around the place offering smiles and platitudes. **** off, I work and **** off home to cry wank into a quilt to forget you all.

Chuminess I don't mind, it's the people who seem to love deliberately falling out with others so they can spend 8 hours bitching about them, then going to great lengths to make it obvious that they're ignoring the colleague that piss me off.  Just a complete waste of energy and time, **** grow up.

I get this all the time.

I get people who have a conversation with me and say stuff like "Oh you're actually really nice, I thought you were just the moody guy who sits in the corner!"

I'm not moody. I'm the opposite! Just because I don't sit at my desk smiling like a moron or go around starting conversations with people doesn't mean I'm not friendly.
