Wainy316
Sneijder missed and he would have been more expected to score. Van l Gaal deserves some stick for sending Ron up first too. Ron is blameless but that won't help the personal trauma the poor bloke must be going through. Hurry on back to Villa where you'll never have to suffer coming that agonisingly close to success again. To be honest I can see why Ron had a great game tonight, his semi final league cup defeat against Bradford would have prepared him for the pressure of a world cup semi. Back to the big time now, Ron. So getting done by James 'Co Op shelf stacker' Hanson prepared him for nullifying Lionel Messi? Or maybe Hanson is just better than Messi.
LondonLax
I do fear we will loose him. If you spell lose as 'loose' how would you go about spelling the opposite of tight?

Farlz
That performance tonight has proved to a lot of people that he's actually a very good defender. Gutted he missed his pen but that shouldn't get in the way of a top class showing from him. Well done, Ron.

Rovers13
He and demichelis, two players that have gotten a lot of stick in the prem in the past, were absolutely brilliant tonight. Happy for them both, though obviously dissapointed for vlaar missing the penalty.
davemk39
it turns out, 2 dutch players refused to take the first penalty before vlaar stepped up.
Richard
Odds on he'll be off after that performance just showing what he can do with better players around him
Dodgyknees
Odds on he'll be off after that performance just showing what he can do with better players around him Exactly. If Lambert had more money he wouldn't spread so thinly either and we would see more of the Vlaar's and Benteke's instead of the 1m punts.
Demitri_C
get him a new deal he deserves it. sadly the idiots at our club have allowed this to drag where we wont get any good money for him with only a year left
Dr_Pangloss
Van Gaal rates him and trusts him, wouldn't be surprised if he tries to sign him for United, especially given Vlaar's contract is out next season and he'll be available on a cut price. Good point. Would rather him sign a new contract or get some decent money for him now. Would hate to lose our best defender for free next year. TrinityRoadSteps
Just because he is out of contract doesn't mean we have to give him away. Teams can want all they want but they still need to offer enough money for us to say yes. We could just get the extra year out of him, help us stay up. Who knows what the situation will be at VP in a years time
