In all seriousness be a wounder for Jack to leave his boyhood club to get some trophies...then have them taken away for deals like the ones that bought him there.

As Jack would say that's rather encyclopaedia!

He got to experience the moment and the weeks around it. Don't really think he'd be too bothered if they were erased in the history books.

I'm not so sure he was in any state to remember any of it.

The only way City are getting a punishment is if United and Liverpool etc demand it. If not the Premier League/FA are gutless

Not sure how similar the charges are but they could probably point at Everton escaping punishment last season for FFP breaches

Well United could win another PL title if Citeh gets punished appropriately.

They’ll be too worried something in their backyard would be wrong to push this. Can’t see anything serious happening here to City.

Yep your right I suppose as that could open a right can of worms with Premier league clubs filing lawsuits relegated clubs from previous seasons could also have something to say. Pathetic really they've cheated there way to titles where everybody else abided by the rules & I'm guessing the only thing will happen is a hefty fine which they can quite clearly afford to do .

Theoretically the League can do more or less anything they want as far as punishment goes.

Unfortunately that means they'll do little meaningful.

One thing to add regards those saying nothing will happen. The Government's independent paper is about to be published, and has been leaked and there's alot of pressure on football to clean up its act. They'll want to show they can self regulate without government or independent rules, so I think they'll look to make an example of them.

Not a chance in hell will they make an example of City.

You do wonder what any punishment would entail regards their league and FA cup wins, as the competitions aren't regulated by the Premier League. So presumably, the EFL and FA are awaiting the Premier League outcome before deciding whether to take action themselves?

How can the premier league carry on by brushing any of this under the carpet. Citeh are basically saying we do not respect your rules, what are you going to do about it. The league has pointed to those exact rules today. The punishment for breaking those rules will have to be sufficient to prevent any other clubs from doing likewise. Honestly don't see Citeh getting away with this.

The premier league simply cannot ignore this now. It's beyond football. HMRC should, if they aren't already, be on the case. Fraudulent contracts all over the place, false company financial reports posted to Companies House. This is Serie A level of fraud/corruption.
