What does one of your Missus's nights out entail? 1.0 Book club - none of them read the book, they have an over priced pizza and discuss how each others kids are progressing in school 2.0 Gig night - typically slightly moany singer songwriter acoustic guitar solo types, most recently Jason Manns, Rob Benedict, Martyn Joseph. 3.0 Gardening club - none of them have done any gardening recently, they have an over priced pizza and discuss how each others kids are progressing in school of course, she could actually be a sleeper agent or an assassassassin I should just caveat that, with our trips out together, 'date stylee' are great. Usually involving a builders breakfast / lunch, a little shop browsing and then sitting on a hill somewhere looking at the sea. Followed by shooting up some small town post office and phoning out for hookers.

Popular Post Stevo985 Posted February 24, 2016 VT Supporter Popular Post Share Posted February 24, 2016 So I had an interesting night a couple of weeks back. I've been sworn to secrecy, but this is VT... I went out for my girlfriend's sister's engagement meal. I'd met some of the "in laws" before, but not all of them, so I was a bit nervous about making a good impression and potentially embarrassing myself. I needn't have worried. Firstly because they were all really sound and we got on really well. but secondly because somebody else stole the night in terms of embarrassment. One of her brothers (who will be hereby named "the brother") had a bit too much to drink (and by "a bit" I mean "**** loads"). We had moved on to a bar in brum by this stage. He got into an argument with some guys on the table next to us and lashed out. A couple of us tried to hold him back and the bouncer came up and grabbed him, I assume to throw him out. He never got that far because the brother turned around and immediately headbutted him, and ran out of the bar. So we're all there like The bouncers all give chase. So we went out of the bar and round the corner where the bouncers had caught up to him and, I suspect but didn't see any of it, given him a bit of a seeing to. Then all hell broke loose. One of the bouncers, it turns out, had slipped as he came out of the bar and cut his hand quite badly on a glass. So there was blood everywhere, mainly on the brother's white shirt because the bouncer had grabbed him. But of course my gf's family thought it must be the brother's blood, so fuelled by a bit of alcohol everyone went crazy. Screaming and crying and begging the bouncers to let him go, flitting between fear, anger and despair. The police were called and it was about half an hour of just total bedlam. Eventually, having relatively no emotional attachment to the situation, it was yours truly who calmed everything down and got everyone to go home. But the brother was arrested, spent the night in the cells and has been charged with assault. On the one hand, he acted like a **** moron, so he deserves what he gets. On the other hand I feel bad for him because it'll probably ruin any chance he has of getting the jobs he wanted to get after uni (which were government related) because of one stupid, drink influenced mistake (he's never done anything like this before as far as I know). So yeah, that's how I met my girlfriend's family. I think, given the comparison, they think I'm a decent bloke

Her family are going to be super mortified and super nice to you.

But yes, they are super mortified and think I'm great
