Seems Gary Charles is doing sterling work. Fair play for getting his life turned around and helping others. Talks to the kid in that article every day.

Not sure if anyone noted this at the time but in PNE's 2-3 loss to Reading last week 4 of the 5 goals were scored by former Villa players - Dan Johnson, Callum Robinson, Tiago Ilori and Leo Bacuna.

ASHLEY WESTWOOD 9 - STAR MAN

Barnes may steal the headlines with his late double but it was Ashley Westwood who pulled the strings all game.

Covering the defence well, he was also a key focal point to everything positive that Burnley created. His distribution to the wide areas was excellent as both wingers notched assists. He also had a huge hand in the opening goal, keeping the ball alive in the area.

Leandro Bacuna: 7/10

Looked a constant threat from midfield with his energy and showed his class from dead-ball situations. Brilliant corner to set up Baldock’s goal and was desperately unlucky not to score himself when Marshall’s fingertips denied a wonderful free-kick.

Bacuna - 8 - Great set piece delivery and fantastic movement both on and off the ball.

Bacuna - my player of the season so far with Yiadom - and much more effective pushed forward. Why has he not been on dead balls this season?

Bacuna can have a big year if he's more consistent week to week

Bacuna - 8. Very impressive. Great set piece delivery, drives us up the pitch.

Liked Bacuna's performance a lot. How the **** has it taken a year to realise he is great at set pieces while we've been stuck with Kelly and Aluko's woeful efforts?

Leandro Bacuna was immense and showed his obvious Premier League class

No words can describe this

I'll try:

Wrestling. A pseudo sport for people who want to watch a sort of crap ballet performed by overweight uncoordinated neanderthal males pretending to be 'ard because watching anything else would mean having to admit to their homosexualness.

Whilst I agree with the sentiment (although come on man the rock is cool!)..

Don't you play a musical instrument for a living?

Surprised Bannan hasnt got another crack at Premier League. One of best passers in this division and could do a job for a team in top flight not even as automatic starter but as squad player

The original Scottish Iniesta. He really has developed into the player he showed glimpses of becoming while he was with us. Learned to cut out the outrageous hollywood balls and keep it simple.

Con is rattling the cage of his cell trying to get back in after the Wednesday game

I would have Bannan back at Villa but he would have no clearly defined roll, would be playing as some sort of box to box jack of all trades midfielder and would look abysmal.

Bruce could put him in at centre back
