TrentVilla Posted December 31, 2008 Moderator Share Posted December 31, 2008 I can see why Arsenal are interested in Arteta and I would imagine he would be very interested in moving. I can also imagine that Moyes may need to raise money by selling in order to buy a striker and if there is one area of the squad he has plenty of options its midfield. TrentVilla Posted December 31, 2008 Moderator Share Posted December 31, 2008 im not worried by everton their next 4 fixtures read Hull Liverpool Arsenal Man united Now that is nasty run of games I'm caught between being conservative and hoping Everton struggle in these games to keep them off our back but then the ambitious part of me thinks, perhaps they can do us a couple of favours. So 4 draws please Everton...
dont_do_it_doug.
yeah but we all have to play them. Indeed, but opening up a nice 10+ point gap on them would give us a psychological advantage.
bickster Posted December 31, 2008 Moderator Share Posted December 31, 2008 yeah but we all have to play them. No we don't, we have already played Arsenal twice and taken 4 points
paddy
Maybe Arsenal are getting a bit concerned about Everton pipping them to 5th so they're just trying to unsettle one of their best players. Maybe not.
kurtsimonw
That would be the funniest thing in league history to see Wengers face if they finished 6th this season. Tough run in for the Toffee's while we get it relatively easy, we should hopefully make it a double figure gap between them and us over the next 4 games, though I hope they get a point out of Arsenal. Pelle
Actually, I think Everton might very well beat Arsenal when they meet. A bit depending on what happens when it comes to transfers before they play each other.
