Omari Kellyman

Kellyman - Wellerman chant?

There is a player called Omari,

He plays for the famous A V F C,

When he gets his head up

And he puts his foot down

Oh go Omari go

See how our Kellyman runs

When he goes past players and scores for fun

Then when the game is done

We'll drink our beers and go home.

Would rather have kellyman on bench than a 3rd keeper 🤔

Again you don't need 8 outfield players on the bench when you can only make 5 subs.

If you need to make 2 keeper subs you need 2 keeper subs. Outfield players can play in makeshift positions for instance mcginn to DM if we needed to.

How many clubs make 2 keeper subs? Ive rarely seen it. Its wasted position

Give me kellyman even as a unused sub over a 2nd keeper any day

Emery seems to like having 2 goalkeepers on the bench. Like others have said we can only make 5 subs in a match anyway.

You only make 2 keeper subs if you need 2 keeper subs. For example for 2 injuries or an injury and sending off. Take the hibs game for instance Emi comes off with an injury at half. And we are a bad time challenge for a cross (which causes injury or a red) and we have to play mcginn In goal for 30 minutes.

I wonder if he will revert to one keeper on the bench when we are able to put out a bench full of quality internationals.  I think he prefers an extra keeper to a youth player, but maybe not a top quality alternative.

I guess we will only find out as we continue to improve the squad.

Seems to be a Spanish thing. Pep does it, as do Barca, Real and Atletico. Get used to it, you’re probably going to see it often even when players back from injury.

What kind of player is he? I’ve missed every match he’s featured in? Out and out striker? More of a 10?

More of a 10, with a ferocious shot on him, skill, Intelligence and vision.

He currently looks to have a very high ceiling.

Obviously helps that he's 6 ft 3 at only 17 as well!

Imagine when he fills out and gets more coaching with this team?

What I like most is his awareness and the fact he seems totally fearless. He seemed totally unfazed and at ease starting too. Early days, but it's  a very rare  thing for such a young age - when did we last have such a young player that slotted into first  team action so seamlessly? Barry would be my guess

His chest is very narrow which concerns me when talking about building strength. He'll only be able to put so much on his frame the way it is right now. Hopefully his body grows broader over the next couple seasons so he can improve his strength.

Score us a goal, you’re the Kellyman

Score us a goal tonight

Well, we're all in the mood for a victory

And you've got us feelin' alright

Or we change the Macho Man lyrics to “Kelly, Kellyman, we want a goal from Kellyman”
