If this goes over the line, I can't believe how far we've come in 3 years.  Makes you wonder where we'll be in another three....

Midtable I recon 👍

Remember that look on Xia's face after Fulham?

I'm just mostly concerned about him staying fit. Getting a bit fed up with our big players spending god knows how long crocked.

I wouldn't say I'm quite as excited as some just yet, this isn't the Liverpool Coutinho anymore he's clearly dropped a level or 2 imo but if we can keep him fit I'm hopeful he should make a positive impact for us.

Regardless of how this turns out it’s massive in showing our owners intentions. They mean business.

So they're not leaving then?

God, calm down will you. You're so excitable!

OK i am starting to come on board especially if its an 18 month loan then its a no lose deal if he gets fit.

One thing that I havent seen mentioned is his set pieces. That is something we still lack

I'm the same, 18 month loan which I guess must take him down close to the end of his contract too is a much better sounding more purposeful deal

We'll have Coutinho, Martinez, Mbappe, Haaland, Rodri, and still finish within touching distance of Crystal Palace.

If this happens it's 100% down to Gerrard. As much as I liked Smith (which I did a lot) he just doesn't pull off this signing. Hopefully this is a statement of intent for other players we are interested in too.
