I'm sure Mark Harrison knows how to run our academy and knows what's best for the players

Also who says the quality of Real Union's league is below League Two, to make that judgement you have to actually watch those leagues, and watching our U21s would help also.

Celta Vigo, Real Sociedad, Barcelona, and Deportivo have B teams in the same league as Real Union, so they must think it's fine for the development of their younger players, not all of our academy players are able to get loans to the Championship, League One, or League Two, so if we have somewhere where we can send them to get first team experience then that's a good thing.

Someone like Tommi O'Reilly who is now twenty for example, and has played no first team football, if he'd have had the opportunity to play for Real Union, even just for half a season or something, to show clubs in this country that he's capable at first team level, that would have been much better for his development than just playing for our U21s

Our academy players that are capable of playing at an higher level than that which Real Union play at obviously won't be going there, if any of our more highly rated academy players do go there, it will probably be the younger ones, as a sort of introduction to first team football type thing.

For goalkeepers it's different, so wouldn't be surprised to see someone like Marschall or James Wright there

Real Union president Igor Emery has hinted he is unhappy with Aston Villa’s decision to sack his manager Fran Justo to replace him with Villa U-21 coach Iñigo Idiakez.

He admitted that the managerial change is “an unexpected change that comes within a process that is included in the agreement we have signed with Aston Villa. The process has accelerated more than expected.”

The newspaper then goes on to explain the ‘only reason for the dismissal’ of Justo and the rest of his staff is Aston Villa, who have put certain conditions on the Spanish club since signing them to their group of clubs.

That decision, though, ‘does not seem to be the president’s liking’ as when asked about it directly he assured that he was “in a commission with Villa that we created this as a result of the agreement.”

The odd thing here is that the decision he apparently doesn't like would most likely have been made by his brother.

Gais FC in dialogue with Aston Villa about collaboration
Gais has had a collaboration with Ipswich for a couple of years now.
Now GP can tell you that Grönsvart may be on the way to a new collaboration – this time with Premier League giant Aston Villa.
- We hope to be able to find something good together going forward, says Gai's chairman Roland Blomstrand, who together with two other board members visited Birmingham at the beginning of January.

GAIS :crylaugh:They are a meme club. This pretty much sums up the average GAIS supporter.

Roughly translates to: Blåvitt (IFK Göteborg) is a party, GAIS is alcoholism.

Why don’t Swedish sentences make sense?

Given your reactions to this news it seems this isn't the same kind of promising linkup that we've had with other teams recently.

If the link isn't fake, and we do end up in bed with them,  what is so bad about them that we might worry about?

Nothing wrong with the club, it's their fans who are historically seen as a bit of a joke. It's a very, very, very small club. Like tiny. They did mange to get promoted from 3rd division to the top flight in straight years so now they are back in Allsvenskan for the first time in a while. I'd wager that Digne earns more in a year than their total revenue :D

Nothing that bad with them mine was tongue in cheek though it would be a strange partnership for us to get involved in

If we're gonna get involved in a partnership with a Swedish club, why oh why does it have to be GAIS? As @sne pointed out, they're a meme club and absolutely tiny.

If we wanted access to potential I suppose Brommapojkarna would have been the best choice. That organisation is massive and hoovers up kids left and right.

The Ambassador of Great Britain went to the headquarters of
@ASECMimosas to discuss a possible partnership between this club and the English club @astonvilla. Football constitutes a strong link between the United Kingdom and Ivory Coast.

No clue why this ended up on my timeline. Not complaining. It seems V Sports wants to get quite involved in African football.

ASEC Mimosas and Aston Villa are preparing a partnership for the export of their talents to England.

ASEC Mimosas is making another giant step for the professional integration of its young players. After Olympique de Marseille, it is Aston Villa's turn to come to the news in order to create a partnership with the Ivorian club's football academy. It is with this in mind that the Ambassador of Great Britain to Côte d'Ivoire, Catherine Brooker, recently went down to Sol Béni to see the work being done there.

"It is an honour for us to receive Catherine Brooker at Sol Béni to show her the hard work that is done for young people at the academy. She was able to see the women's team train, she saw our facilities and she is so impressed. We are so happy that Catherine Brooker can see this. We are forgeting partnerships in England. You know, England is the largest championship in the world and it can only be beneficial for our children," said Eric Djibo, vice-president of ASEC Mimosas.

"There are well-known Ivorian players who are already in England. There is this football link between the two countries, so we will make use of it. It will not only be on the boys' side, but also on the girls' side," Catherine Brooker said. The next few days will build us more on this very promising file for the rise of Ivorian football internationally.

Senegal and now Ivory Coast…
