And Scott Parker out thought Gerrard. Based on this season so far I dont see how any neutral observer could conclude anything other than Gerrard is the second worst manager in the league. Edit because @Jas10 is right, depending how results go today& tomorrow he may well be the worst. Edited August 30, 2022 by ciggiesnbeer

Certainly not fit to be a PL one…
Popular Post PieFacE Posted August 30, 2022 VT Supporter Popular Post Share Posted August 30, 2022 This man is completely destroying everything good that Dean Smith and the owners built/achieved at this football club over the past few years. jacketspuds
As every day passes it seems to be getting worse at the club. We genuinely look an amateurish shambles and Gerrard is at the centre of it.

What a brainless decision to appoint him… but, I never thought he would turn out to be THIS bad…

I'm sure Gerrard will have the remember Arteta and Arsenal line lined up in his defense. By then we will be in a proper relegation battle.
GingerCollins29
If we dont sign anyone, luiz leaves, a heavy defeat st arsenal and SG is still here - VP will be the most toxic i have ever seen it

Another reason to get rid of Gerrard ASAP as the longer he stays the more disillusioned some of our players get. Tbh Critchley won't be any worse so why keep Slippy around?! That’s just angers me, it angers me that Dean’s actual and credible defence fell on deaf ears… that he hadn’t even had a chance to line up his best players, due to injuries, nor the opportunity to get the best out of them and maybe time was needed to adapt after losing such a monumentally important player… that’s not to say that Dean shouldn’t have been sacked (it was something I was very conflicted about)… but… there was a person that had earned a hell of a lot of credit, done a hell of a lot of good work, got brilliant performances and results out of his players, and there was an argument that he actually deserved time… if anyone did, it was him. But, tell me, WTF has Gerrard done to deserve time? To deserve us having to tolerate the utter tripe and shite he has been serving up?! 7
rbcuk
Longer he stays it’s setting us back years all the good feeling we had getting back is slowing disappearing, good luck shifting season season tickets next season as we are already thinking of sacking it off next season if it doesn’t improve

I feel like that’s asking for a miracle… Who would you realistically replace him with? It’s like you all want the comfort of a dinosaur but then moan when we win dull games. Gerrard will get us organised, playing well and push on from there. We got rid of smith early in my opinion would have loved dean to still be there now but I don’t see anyone available right now that would be better than what we’ve got. We will most likely get beat in the next two games but we aren’t competing with arsenal and Man City. But this is the time the whole team and management need us. It’s not hard. 4 2 1
