It's terrible to watch, overrun in midfield and leaves us way too exposed in defence. He doesn't seem able to tweek the tactics midgame to address the weaknesses either. People can moan about signings all they want, but the fact is there are several sides in this league worse than us on paper, that would envy being able to make the signings we have, that look levels above in terms of coaching and structure. This isn't even exclusive to Gerrard at Villa of late, I watch good coaches get more than the sum of their parts out of so many teams, yet we've been the opposite of this for so so long.
