Breakaway League

This Super league is dead. Chelsea and Man City out. Atletico Madrid reportedly pulling out. Talksport reporting ALL 12 clubs are meeting tonight to discuss disbanding it.

the FA, Premier League, UEFA, FIFA, time to grow some balls and make sure every single club involved in this has the book thrown at them.

I've seen a few people expressing surprise that clubs with all this money could have been involved in such a fiasco, but honestly if they were run with complete competence then they wouldn't be about to implode under their own debt burdens (specifically thinking about Man U, Real, Barcelona and Tottenham here).

5000% - lots of money, lots of power- zero sense.

Severe punishments needed to be handed out. Ridiculous ones.

They've lost their bottle and next time they might not if there's nothing done.

They've just been given an incredibly generous Champions League reform. A joke. And it was only made to look acceptable because of this new external league.

15 points and all this season's performance money should be taken off the PL clubs. And 15 points next season.

Woodward has gone, he was pushing this hard.

They WILL be back if not punished.

If you're a Liverpool fan and you're hearing Chelsea have pulled out, it must feel awful.

You're worse than Chelsea fans, they have the moral high ground.

The instagator s were probably Liverpool and Man U . Liverpool look to have run out of money in relative terms - so they jumped on this idea rather than live within there means.

Strange for club that produces all its players home grown.

Surely that depends on who the Glazers appoint next. Going on their track record it’s unlikely to be much of an improvement particularly given Man United’s reported financial issues.

Are we now going to see them pull out one by one, receiving credulous applause from media idiots, and then happily return to a Champions League and Europa League they now basically can't fall out of?

You wouldn't bet against that happening would you.

That’s exactly what will happen.

In all seriousness could those 6 have there PL voting rights suspended ? - would be an easy to administer punishment - that would enable the lesser clubs to push through rule changes these would normally oppose.

Can you imagine if there are no consequences for this, and they just got rid of this prick? Good old week for Man United fans, as things stand.
