I think we were better organised today. Team seemed to give a big shift.

I think Leicester and Southampton games are the key ones. We get a win or more from next 3 games I'd say Gerrard keeps job until WC

It wouldn't have been undeserved if they'd scored 5 tonight.

You can tell that a well coached team is like a really good pool player - thinking many moves ahead.

We have some decent players who look like they've never kicked a ball before. The speed of Premier League football has made some great players look distinctly average over the years. When operating at that pace, it's imperative the players automatically understand what the next few passes may look like.

Across the pitch, we're having to receive the ball, try to hold it, look up and try to work out where a teammate might be. Similarly, those teammates are trying to workout where that pass may go.

Ponderous play that inevitably ends up in gifting possession away, players occupying the same space, the occasional attack all coming from one channel... This all comes down to lack of coaching.

Throw in a lack of formation, terribly imbalanced starting XI's, and a lack of confidence, and we'll be rock bottom come the weekend.

All the coaching staff need to go, and a proper management team need installing. Now.

Reactionless, but spot on

There was a counterattack where Odegaaerd received it in the middle and without looking, immediately launched a switch down Digne’s channel expecting Saka to be there.

Saka was nowhere to be found but Odegaard knew from coaching and patterns of play that Saka should have been steaming down that channel during a counter attack.

What Villa are sorely lacking.

Arsenal are a very well coached team - probably one of the best in the league. We are probably the worst coached team, despite having around 50 **** coaches!

The defence is exposed and attacks easily nullified. We're narrow, but without a plan to play through the middle.

On the rare occasions we keep possession, it's like the football game on the Simpsons. Passing across the back 4, have Mings call for someone to show for the ball.... No one?? Ok, hoof.

Utter rubbish.

Anyone seen any stats for distance covered in the PL and how we are doing?

The trip down to Bournemouth was a big one but since we’re in the middle of the country we never have to travel too far

Our depth for the wide/AM positions is frighteningly thin. Ramsey can cover at AM, but then we're thin in midfield. All of a sudden, this squad looks a right mess. If Bailey gets injured, who's bringing the pace?

We are painfully predictable as it is with everyone fit.

Just about every team I’ve watched this season seems to have two lines of 4 when the opposition attack

there is one exception to this … we seem  to have a ragged back line with 2 CB’s that are so far apart they have to use their phones to communicate with each other and a midfield that kinda strolls back at its leisure .. until we sort this teams are going to pick us off at will

As expected, worst in the league and with the drop off from last season you can make a strong argument for these players giving up on him

One maybe more for the lange thread, part of his job and team we were told was a new group of data analysts, they must see these graphics and stats and table and analytics, probably even more than what is kicking around on twitter that we see and know the data shows we're a shambles

Can we actually play a balanced team at present or not then?

I honestly don’t know our best eleven right now?

best I can come up with is this

                        Martinez

cash          Konsa       Mings       Digne

               Chambers  Kamara

   Bailey              Luiz         Buendia

                             Ings

It’s actually a worry how weak our team is when you look at it like that .. but confidence would probably help a lot of them
