Popular Post allani Posted May 23 Popular Post Share Posted May 23 Almost as important as anything that Ross does on the pitch is that it almost certainly means that we can rest / sub Luiz more often through the season so that he's not out on his feet for the last few important games of the season. With (IMO) Ross being the cover for Luiz it also means that Tielemans is potentially the cover for McGinn. Which suddenly means that is two important players (who we've relied on too much in the past) who we can actually feel confident subbing off and not worrying that we'll be in trouble as a result. There will also be games where Ross / Tielemans might make more tactical sense. It gives Unai options. Now we just need to get the Kamara cover sorted (and Ramsey + Buendia fit). If Unai and his team see something there, then I am in no place to judge. Can't see him being a nailed down first XI player, and I think he would know that.. He would be a solid option off the bench, or rotation for cup games then I see no problems with this. One of the best midfielders in the league this season, and he's available for next to nothing, low wages too. Incredibly smart business as far as I'm concerned. Loving how astute our transfer business is these days, some of these cheap / free transfers we manage to get are unbelievable, Barkley just the latest in the list. Yes he had a poor half a season while on loan with us a couple of years ago, but that's more than countered by being bloody brilliant all of this season for a struggling team.
